I think we lost more soldiers in kargil than pak due to height disadvantage . Still we own kargil and kicked them out .. russian military casualty was atleast 3million more than german military casualty ... Like I said, I don’t see military confrontations throughout number of casualties but objectives. But if you want to indulge in that then whatever I understood from credible sources. Capturing peaks had high toll on our numbers both men and material at the start. However the numbers were not only levelled but crossed by big margin when Bofors started pounding them with direct line of fire and behind and over the peaks when they started running away. We even kept culling them after the ceasefire was called and they had to leave their posts. Whole NLI was wiped out as per some credible open source watchers.

FYI Unprofessional military behaviour by PLA is a routine occurrence, which you will not hear in your CCP controlled SM and news media. yes funerals were held for 2 PLA chaps in their villages, but nobody told the real story of how they died.
