License Raj also had similar logic.
License Raj is for business and economy, this is for the narrative and truth and fact related issues both of which should be treated differently.

Don't live under a rock, you know how anti-nationals have used fake narratives and the Info to twist things to their advantage.

By the way most of these would be seminars would not bring much value in terms of research and are not that valuable to the layman too unlike red Taoism in business.but it would definitely benefit the nationalist and normal indian dude if the wannabe anudhati Roy or some other subhuman anti-national loses his chance to spew venom, sow controversy aginst indians in the name of freedom of expression.

If the contents are going to be so path breaking then I don't think availing an approval from gov is much of a hassle.this is what I want in social media too.

Seriously guys here got most of their knowledge regarding military matters through personal discussion not seminars From whatever University.

It reduces the amplifier effect of The usual InTeLlEcTuAl type india hater by gimping their preferred mode of dessimination.

Ching Pong version is banned and Englis version is sorta b&, only allowed in certain hotels and all for Gora sahebs apparently.
The big ban dropped on them after the sansani-khez "reporting" on Tiananmen when those events occured.

Well for most parts I agree with you but India heavily lags behind the western countries when it comes to research and science this sort of protectionism is not good for science we have a lot to gain and less to give, after Indian scientific academia reaches a certain level protectionism can be introduced but at this stage it is counter productive, I do agree with you when it comes to humanities and social science that influence narrative these rules might be very effective in weeding out all bad apples but I still maintain the position that when it comes to science such rules will hurt us in our current stage.
This has nothing to do with science,it has everything to do with narratives in which we have to go full aggressive Genghis Khan mode like the chinese, follow the soln provided by Yuri bhezmenov.

I am sure you can still discuss about various missiles and shit which is the real science.what these idiots in the article are crying about is the potential for rumor mongering that is lost due to this and the other part are the people who lost a mode of being openly anti nationalistic.

Nothing here states that you cant discuss anything about true scientific endeavours and curiousity like isro launches, missiles, radars, etc.and it is an approval not a ban,if they are so innocent they should not have a problem seeking an approval.

The things you have mentioned here have nothing to do with science, if you have read my answer I am not against any of these rules being applied against social scientists, and humanities seminars and convocations, The only problem I have is these rules being applied to science and research which in the long run will be detrimental to the hard working Indian scientists and not these JholaChaps dafflibaaz pseudo intellectuals that shout anti-national slogans.

IMO Chinese took a gamble and tried to intimidate India with this operation this was pre planned
and designed to probably further BRI etc... They probably did not expect the Indian reaction and were
probably hoping propaganda and intimidation would get the results they wanted?? We should not
be fooled into thinking this is the end , there will definetly be a war with China over the waters of the
brahmaputra but it will be on our terms.

Holding on to important post in finger 3 + heights in the south bank+ china moving back to finger 8 and dismantling everything, this disengagement deal is heavily on India's favor India has successfully outmaneuvered and defeated the dragon and has shown China its place, other friction points to be seen though.
A cautious note needs to be taken into account here. This is merely one sectorial disengagement. Not the complete one. That, in my opinion, is going to be somewhere far in future.

I think the reason China has agreed to this is because like @Hellfire said we may have strengthened our positions and may have shown intent to humiliate them this summer so to avoid that these steps were taken because now using their BOTS in the international and Indian media they can at least hope to win the narrative battle if not the actual battle in the ground.
I am waiting for the media to paint this as a loss for India and trying to defame the government.

I hope that someone publishes the story of what transpired on Black Top someday. Still say I, it was made ours.

It was @Hellfire iirc, he said there would be no action along the Sikkim border because it was settled as the IB and we should not disturb it.

And we didn't disturb it. They tried to ingress, we took them down on their side.

There was a "Billi Patrol" right upto 1990, which would move every once in a while. It was a regular boxing match between Indian and PLA soldiers along the watershed.

Those were some really fun days. Alas, I never had a chance to participate in one though. My father did in his time. But then, in his time, a walk into Yatung was done on a CO's spur of the moment mood too. And we had not pulled down our troop numbers from regions of Jelep-La-Nathang-Woodcock-Dokala
