No, I meant that Chinese companies are not the only ones selling devices; there are other alternatives like Samsung. The Indian companies can also coordinate with companies from other countries to throw off Chinese dependence. The point is, it can be done if the will is there. In the long run, banning Chinese companies and products will be far more beneficial for India. As of right now, Indians buying Chinese products are actually helping to finance nefarious Chinese government and military activities attacking India by attacking its military, stealing its land, and attacking its people with a Chinese lab manufactured virus. If we don't stop financing Chinese government (Chinese companies and Chinese product sales are financing Chinese government), these kinds of biological and military attacks will continue.

It's not the popular Chinese shill meme of "WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT CHAI-NEES GOODS" or "INDIA WILL BE DESTROYED WITHOUT CHAINEES GOODS" like those media articles tell you.

Everyone loves cheeni goods for cheap price, not just people, there are traders who sell no name imported cheeni maal, there are companies who's products are made in China, there are car companies that depend on cheap imported Chinese auto parts, then there are VI and Airtel type telcos that depend on very cheap Huawei-ZTE maal.

Last 2 pages people were saying this tank has paper armor and if it gets hit by even one shell it's ammunition will blow up taking the tank with it.
Why not slap a tank turret on a BMP2 and be done with it then.
supposedly the DODOs had a concept like this but the Army back then told them to f*ck off, because it's the 2000's and nobody does light tanks anymore.

firstly, as IA thinks we need a lighter armour, we need a lighter armour. decision taken in 2000 might be wrong but as we've taken that decision in 2000 so we'd not buy those, I don't think that will be a proper notion. but we may and we should debate it after getting out of this situation.

actually Sprut SD is a TD (I think), not a light tank.
(like Hellcat).

afaik, it has aps. as it weighs only 18 tons, adding composite armour and/or era blocks should not be a problem.

I'm not sure if we can add some turrets like Cockerill one on bmp or not.

Oh please don't add anything to bmp-2 it is an absolute tin box. It's combat record is very bad and it's armour weak the whole design is old and outdated it performed badly in sri lanka it would be absolutely crushed in a modern war.

If we want a light tank I heard about a new model based on the k-9 chassis better go that way.

It will also be useful as L&T won't have to close the factory after its orders are completed.

K-9 is a good platform compared to the junk bmp.
