So now Bat muncher moved a guy who was part of Vietnam war ..:playball:

Unusual personnel changes afoot in China's People's Liberation Army Xi Jinping today held a ceremony for 5 PLA rising stars promoted to top General rank & given new roles New commanders for Xinjiang/Tibet/India, Beijing, Navy, Air Force, Defense Uni
https://twitter.com/neilthomas123

What's unusual is appointment of Wang Haijiang 汪海江 as Western Theater commander (Xinjiang, Tibet, India) Wang replaces Xu Qiling 徐起零 who was only promoted in July Xu's precursor Zhang Xudong 张旭东 replaced Zhao Zongqi 赵宗岐 in December That's 4 commanders in 10 months!

The PLA is opaque and I'm not a military specialist, but it seems Xi is dissatisfied with the PLA in Western China? Zhao Zongqi retired, but both Xu Qiling and and Zhang Xudong are only 59 Neither appears to have been given a new role since being relieved of the Western command

I don't know why there's been such high turnover of PLA leaders in the Western Theater Command Xi visited Tibet in July so could reflect displeasure at Sino-Indian border situation, ethnic affairs, or something else I haven't yet seen any authoritative sources that shed light

Wang Haijiang was previously commander of Xinjiang Military District, Tibet MD & deputy of South Xinjiang MD & fought in Vietnam war. Big focus on ethnic & border areas. Wang is only 58 this year & made Lieutenant General rank in 2019, so he's one to watch if he does a good job

Chang Dingqiu 常丁求 promoted to Commander of PLA Air Force Previously deputy chief of staff at Joint Staff Dept of Central Military Commission Chang is 54. Chinese media say this makes him the youngest PLA General EVER. One day he could be a CMC vice chair on the Politburo

China has started construction again in South Pangong Tso after Feb 21 agreement, although not significant, more vehicular movement and an increase in military barracks/huts can be observed.
very interesting , post some pics :| ,

Article on construction activity in Depsang, not much by way of details. OSINT usually report these weeks/months before MSM and with more details (I think it has been not I'm not keeping track).

LAC: China continues construction in 'occupied' territory

All is not well for PLA in the WTC apparently, new commander was brought in to head the WTC.
IMO, They are bleeding big time now..and boys not used to harsh of ladakh and sub zero temp must be creating un easy situations...

They are way off their original aim of occupying land & teaching lesson.. Reminding poor Indians of 1962 and go off to their cozy barracks...

I doesn't help that lady boys are wary of broken necks

PLA is definitely trying to move towards USA's expeditionary nature now and is in a weird transition phase.

Any good resource on French Army doctrine after cold war btw?

We all know the Soviet like nature of PLA but that's well in the past. What do you infer this "French" correlation from, btw?
It’s hard to finish it briefly. You can watch the French battle in Mali, using its powerful battlefield surveillance capabilities, small-scale wheeled armored vehicles for long-distance raids, encirclement, and annihilation, like the 18th century hussars, which are also learning object of the synthetic brigade,
China has never implemented the Soviet war theory. There is no difference between the Soviet war theory and the American war theory. Speaking of which, the war theories of India and Pakistan are more like those of the Soviet Union.
China’s military reform is more based on its own understanding of the world’s wars, coupled with its own long-term exploration, which was finally demonstrated in the 2016 military reform.
There was a very important Ogarkov reform at the end of the Soviet Union, and China has largely inherited the results of that reform.

That logic honestly evades me.

French operations in Mali are counter-insurgency and not peer to peer in nature.
That is but a small part of the larger spectrum we're discussing here.

Also, there is a lot of difference between how US and Russia approach war (and how USSR and US did in the past).

Do you have any good resource on how China plans on fighting peer to peer threats?

Nope, I'm going by the same "drawn on tissue paper" map that every one else is using, don’t have anything definite.

That too when Indian apps are there in many numbers, Aatmanirbhar Bharat for ya.
The document is dated 2021.

This is an epic failure from the those who have an oversight of such things i.e. IT people/auditing/cyber defense etc.

Local department IT people might justify saying that they have not received any instructions from "HQ".

This should not be treated as an excuse. They should use "common sense" or proactively handle such issues.

The attitude looks like "chalta hai" or "not my problem".

check the google search over all gov.in sites for "camscanner"

over 1.7 lakh results , :dude: alteast these are only public docs, who knows what situation is with classified / private docs.

nuclear ICBM launch codes are probably scanned using camscanner then photostat printed and pasted on some door.

Although it was only a rebellion in Mali, it still showed strong mobile combat and fortification capabilities. At the end of the war, France found a large number of unfinished Roadside bombs, indicating that the terrorist organization wanted to trap the French army in guerrilla warfare, but the French army The maneuverability and information warfare capabilities have played a role
In China, the medium-sized synthetic brigades tend to show similar assault capabilities than the heavy-duty synthetic brigades, but the logistics dependence is low and the combat distance is greatly increased.
I may express wrong, the United States and the Soviet Union's war theory no good or bad

Where exactly is the PLA showing these assault capabilities? France, the US, and Soviet Union have actually been at war in different theaters around the world - so we know their capabilities. PLA Army has not even participated in international war exercises let alone in actual war on terror.
