No.
We have a weaker economy, a less pragmatic and decisive leadership and a much less nuanced industry and every Indian will agree, but we do NOT use CHILDREN in WAR.

China doesn't use children in WAR

Anyone knows what happened??
This might not belong to this thread.
Something which occured to me too. Put some of these unconnected events together and what do yu have?
1. Numer of combat deaths shooting up with no cross border retaliations like earlier.
2. Large nuber of RR troops withdrawn from Kashmir and redeployed to Ladhak???Really? For what?
3. Pakistanis blaberring about Indian boots on the ground in Afghanistan.
4. Afghan Militay forces suddenly finding their Mojo.
5. Sudden Defence ministry briefing given to Sharad Pawar and Anthony before all these started.

Maybe I am just seeing something where nothing exists. But who knows.

BRO constructs highest motorable road in the world in Eastern Ladakh

Posted On: 04 AUG 2021 5:00PM by PIB Delhi

Key Highlights:

  • The road at Umlingla Pass constructed at an altitude of 19,300 ft
  • Betters previous record of a road in Bolivia at 18,953 ft
  • Umlingla Pass now connected with a Black Top Road
  • To enhance socio-economic condition & promote tourism in Ladakh

Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has constructed and black-topped the highest motorable road in the world at 19,300 ft at Umlingla Pass in Eastern Ladakh, creating a record in high-altitude road construction. It has constructed a 52-km long tarmac road through Umlingla Pass, bettering the previous record of a road in Bolivia connecting to its volcano Uturuncu at 18,953 ft.

The road now connects the important towns in Chumar sector of Eastern Ladakh. It will prove to be a boon to the local population as it offers an alternate direct route connecting Chisumle and Demchok from Leh. It will enhance the socio-economic condition and promote tourism in Ladakh.

Infrastructure development in such harsh and tough terrain is extremely challenging. During the winter, the temperature dips to -40 degrees and the oxygen level at this altitude is almost 50 percent less than at normal places. The BRO has achieved the feat due to the grit and resilience of its personnel who work in treacherous terrain and extreme weather conditions.

The road has been constructed at an altitude higher than the Mt Everest Base Camps as the South Base Camp in Nepal is at an altitude of 17,598 ft, while North Base Camp in Tibet is at 16,900 ft. The road has been constructed much above the altitude of Siachen Glacier which is at 17,700 ft. The Khardung La Pass in Leh is at an altitude of 17,582 ft.

China trains Tibetan children in Nyingchi, to recruit them as future soldiers of PLA

China is giving military-style training to children between 8 to 16 years old in Nyingchi (Tibet) as part of the "Military Summer Camp" named Snow Eagle. These children may be recruited into the regular People's Liberation Army (PLA) in the future. The children are being trained on similar lines to regular soldiers. Intel suggests that Tibetans are being trained to help PLA control Tibet as a plan when the changeover of Dalai Lama takes place. China does not want to antagonize Tibetans with regular PLA regiments as it fears that it might fuel the independence struggle.

Future pakistan like child terrorists for chinese sponsored terrorism across the world.
Why is the xit china still at UNSC when they are flaunting rules so openly.

Has government disclosed anything about the recruitment procedure?
Most likely through traditional recruitment(NDA and SSB), I guess what wing you go to is decided by you later on in your training or something, not sure but in any case it is likely that it is not open to those not in the military.

Agreed!
Maybe there has been a skirmish at LAC with losses to both sides...
Something that the Govt doesn't want people to know....

Cheeni's main aim is to annex Tawang only, their so called "South Tibetians" gave them the answer back in 1962 itself. Iam yet to see an Arunachali who wants to join China.

Cheenis want to establish a "Buddhist State" buffer between Mainland China and India. Thats why so much activities in Ladakh, Tibet, Bhutan and now movement towards Arunachal's side of LAC near Tawang, all Buddhist majority regions.
I don't think china's main aim is to capture tawang only. The focus will be tawang but the area is well defended. Currently there are 2 divisions protecting the tawang axis. The main concern is central arunachal which is lagging far behind in terms of border infra. Ex Jorging an ITBP fwd post in upper siang dist close to ngyichi is 90km away from the nearest road head. It takes days for jawans to reach the fwd post on foot. Posts in dibang valley such as baluwa, bruni, lama camp, omkar andrala, etc are about 30-60kms from the nearest road head. Even in the lohit Valley posts like rochham etc are quite far from roadhead. Some of these posts are cobs. Policy makers and defence experts have always maintained that tawang is the only aim and thats why an entire corps was defending tawang sector where as only the dah div was taking care of rest of arunachal. Things have changed with the induction of 56div which is now looking after central arunachal. But infrastructure is non existent in these areas and it will be a cause of concern for us in case things go south for us.
