Minor face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley
Vijaita Singh

3-4 minutes

There was a minor face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in the no-patrolling zone at Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh in the first week of May, a senior government official told The Hindu. However, no clash occurred and the two sides disengaged quickly.
A no-patrolling zone extending to around 3 kilometre, around 1.5 km each, on either side of the clash site near the Y-junction of the Galwan Valley, was created after the June 15, 2020 incident when 20 Indian army personnel were killed in violent clashes with the Chinese. A 30-day moratorium was also applied on foot-patrolling then. It was not known if it has been extended.

The official added that China still has camps beyond the no-patrolling zone and there has not been any reduction in troop deployment since last year. The official explained that both sides send periodical patrols “out of suspicion.”

Hmmm....

Ya, but I don't think they care now or historically. Their whole strategy is based on domination in a different way vs West. Now with increased and unforeseen power and growth they are clearly going into unchartered territory at global scale vs historical regional level....they will try not to get into shooting wars and do everything for the west to implode or occupied with artificial social issues that west created for itself
The problem with this sort of rogue regime is that they focus too much on harming the others but simultaneously don't focus on the harm made by their policies on themselves. The reason of the Fall of China can be their one child policy. Now in spite of lifting the pension on one child policy their growth rate is rapidly going down. It has end up being a country of old people. Whosoever their young are also not competent enough because of improved living standard and one child policy. They don't have the people to work in some areas like skilled and unskilled Labours required. Their young one are not smart enough to dominate the research and development for high quality products. What they can do is just steal something and try to copy it. It can not work much. People are too much impressed with the growth of China and say that India is not upto the mark. However, I see it other way.India has laid a very strong foundation of democracy , quality education and values , which is bound to pay you in long run.

I think till we hear positive news and see dead bodies of Chinkies we must assume that the PLA chungs are parked just outside of Leh, inside a giant glass tank filled with water, in which PLA soldiers are half naked, wearing mermaid body suits and swimming mockingly.

This type of news is probably not false.

And to my amazement, why scuffle? China wants to fight with rods and batons, why are we allowing them to be? Still no firing orders?

Just carry a loaded rifle with a magazine inside, no sticks, and anything. If they touch us, rifles are off the shoulder. Should convey the Chinese to be more polite.

PLA base at pangong tso from may 6 , its outside buffer so , they doing nothing wrong .... yet

China will fall for the exact reasons why they fell historically, internal infighting in tightly controlled one party system that kinda lacks social identity like religion or some other force. Two major regions like Xinjiang and Qinghai do not consider themselves as Chinese in identity and they are very large regions and southern chinese also have their own somewhat milder but there....

I am not so sure about democracy, nor our education system barring a stronger version of of the proposed 2021 revision by current govt. We all know the quality of our schools and universities barring some, education system needs to instill organic patriotism like our ancestors contributions (not mughals but the natives) first and foremost for democracy to work long term and reasonably. Current politicians elected democratically says a lot about quality of people and how much more to go for the country....I disagree on the quality of Chinese system, Chinese scientists I worked with are very bright and intelligent and I carry no personal hate towards them and ofcourse like us they have tiers of quality....just look at Olympiads for physics and math and you will see who is at the top consistently in the last decade and half. Regarding one child policy, communist parties are known for their stupid ideas like diverting rivers, building massive dams and what not....one child policy is one of them. Should move to chit chat?

China's stupidity brings it more enemies than friends. Some of the enemies are substantial and difficult to maintain enemity with like India, US, France.
CCP seems to have reached a stage where they believe they have arrived on world stage. the way they are behaving diplomatically thru their “wolf warrior diplomacy”, military aggression against us and narrative within China where they are literally bragging about unleashing biowarfare, seems to indicate they don’t care about anybody anymore.

At this point in time, it seems nobody wants to poke the dragon including US & EU.
