A rural woman working for textiles in a small MSME wouldn't earn more than 4-5k a month in south asian countries, which is basically good enough only for food and sustenance. You took care of both the stuff by 100+ days of employment(2-2.5k a month) and almost free ration. Why would anyone sweat in a workshop then?

Indian textile industry is 130 billion $ industry, with around 26 billion $ export. 4.5 crore people work in this industry.
BD exported 27 billion $ export.

That 100+ days of employment is a subsidy to keep the demand side of the economics alive...Also our Economic Complexity Index is high enough to sustain that kind Keynesian economics policy. I think MNEREGA etc should tweak in order to train the unskilled/semilerate with other value added industry skills like ( CNC machining, electronic Manufacturing skills etc ) which give more man power for India's future export oriented industries ..
