What's wrong with India trend was a short fuse that fizzled out. At this stage it's quite clear that this is impossible to turn to our favour without state sponsored troll farms on our side, which is exactly what we're facing from the other side/sides. The sheer gap I'm seeing with consistency and reach is not something organic twitter handles from our will match. Passions run for a week, then topics change. You need 1-2 million dedicated bot handles doing this day in and day out, with coordinated planning of what news and dehumanizing memes to share, decided by handlers. Again, that's precisely what we're facing from the other side.
Secondly, don't confuse real world politeness with thinking that the people you meet are actually neutral or positive about India. This imagery which we're facing has very much been drilled into their heads, it's shown up in EVERYONE's feeds, it's being shared in their chat groups. The sort of things being shared are precisely meant to override a viewer's rational brain and go straight to the subconscious to activate a disgust mechanism regarding anything to do with India and Hinduism. It's hard to overstate just how psychologically significant and effective it is.
The two fold strategy needs to be
1) Constant positive imagery about India and Hinduism, that through brute force reaches everyone's feed, regularly, backed up by news about India's economic and scientific achievements, active engagements with their artists, startup founders, influencers etc, that should also show up all over SM.
2) The pushback and counter-dehumanization, especially against the jihadi side. This is quite easy to do, considering just how much material they provide us, especially what they do in the west, compared to law abiding NRI's. But again, it'll be easy only through troll farms and coordination from centralized sources. Every single one of their posts should have videos of them drinking camel piss, raping their boys, stoning their women, raping women in the west, committing terrorism and murder in the west, etc.
The purpose of this post is just to say what needs to be done. But It's out of our hands now. State power requires State power to counter it. And we're facing well funded state sponsored groups using every manipulation tool in the book, quite effectively. Even if 2-3 times more Indians were to join twitter, this is not going to go in our favour, because we're not facing regular users in the first place. This easily requires 10 times the volume, coordination and manipulation from our side to what we're seeing today.
