I used to be worried that may of the climate change prediction models used to suggest that India and other developing countries would be more impacted than the developed western nations.
At least in my part of India i.e South, this year was one of the shortest/mildest summers we saw.I used to be worried that may of the climate change prediction models used to suggest that India and other developing countries would be more impacted than the developed western nations.
Now with > 40C temps in Europe and these sorts of freak hail storm instances indicate that the impact would be bad everywhere.
True, have seen worse summersAt least in my part of India i.e South, this year was one of the shortest/mildest summers we saw.
There was very high temps for about 15-20 days in early May but other than that, it was a very mild summer.True, have seen worse summers
But arguably this is also the mildest monsoons here in the past 5-6 years
I feel sorry for these people, mental health problems are real issues that need dealing with. My problem is with normally sane people behaving completely irrationally on a lot of this woke, gender stuff.Land of Freedom and Home of Brave sarr

Agreed on the monsoon part too.

If it leads to chaos in US & other western countries, then it is a good step, should take such initiatives more.
Now they see will see the real hunger index
The Americans have money, they will get the rice they need and it's mostly Asian origin folks in the US who need rice like that. However there is a real danger that if India is seen as an unreliable supplier, many customers, especially in Africa will look at alternative arrangements which in the long term is bad for us.Now they see will see the real hunger index
India is 40% of global rice trade. They can't trade rice elsewhereThe Americans have money, they will get the rice they need and it's mostly Asian origin folks in the US who need rice like that. I've been out of the loop for the past few days. Why are we banning rice exports? The Americans have money, they will get the rice they need and it's mostly Asian origin folks in the US who need rice like that. The ban hasn't been imposed for frivolous reasons . There's a real fear of decline in rice production this year out here given the vagaries of the monsoon. Then we're approaching election season in a few months . Modi doesn't want to risk it .The Americans have money, they will get the rice they need and it's mostly Asian origin folks in the US who need rice like that. Rice can be grown. It may not be high up on anyone's agenda right now but countries aren't going to be risking food security if they are faced with a moody supplier. Why I said....long term...India is 40% of global rice trade. They can't trade rice elsewhere
