Guys, do check this thread too.
The person posting this claims to be from an aviation related "organisation".
Dunno the authenticity though.

Warn your friends to not fall for that bait and switch/taquiyya. The pic on the right is that of mig-21 and has been debated to its death.
The engine on the left is not in service with the F-16's of pakis.

...........................
Thats just fixed wing aircraft, if you include helicopters the number is more like 10,000.

Source: http://www.nhahistoricalsociety.org...017/08/aircraftlossesofthevietnamwarnhahs.pdf

In total, the United States military lost in Vietnam almost 10,000 aircraft and helicopters

Some examples:
F-4 Phantom (USAF, USN, USMC) 533 combat, 156 noncombat
O-1 Bird Dog (USAF, ARMY, USMC) 426 combat, 50 noncombat
F-105 Thunderchief 330 combat, 62 noncombat
A-4 Skyhawk (USN, USMC) 276 combat, 87 noncombat

Helicopters:
UH-1 Huey (ARMY, USMC) 3,254 lost
OH-6 Cayuse (ARMY) 842 lost
AH-1 Cobra (ARMY, USMC) 277 lost

The F-4 Phantom, after almost 700+ losses in Vietnam is called "
"The World's Leading Distributor of MiG Parts" and Mig killer!
Source: https://www.wearethemighty.com/f4-phantom-mig-killer

The Vietnamese Air Force never operated more than 200 aircraft at one time consisting of outdated Mig-17 and Mig-19s and more capable Mig-21s.

Statistically and Factually speaking the Vietnamese can claim to be the Worlds Largest Distributor of US combat aircraft parts! :biggrin2:

And here we have another ISPR video releasing out...
Free fall is Mig21 (since it was hit by a SAM), what PAKIs don't realize that F16 was hit by an R73M, pilot tried to increase AoA by nose diving sideways, hence we see in some video another jet splashed at high speed a few moments later.

NOTICE! He say "uther wee, kitheyy and camera pans to other angle in the sky"... meaning another jet... which is F16. Lol there own folks showed us the evidence. :hehe:

"Reports that pilot has been identified as Wing Commander Noman Akram, OC of No 9 squadron 'Griffins' (most aircraft in Swift Retort OCA package were from No. 9). He was the winner of PAF's Sher Afghan (Best Marksman) trophy in 2019."

Terrible misjudgment of the loop.
The stupidity of this pilot, he went on to do close loop maneuver and didn't notice that his altitude was already low... stupid... stupid pilot. By the time he realized his altitude was dropping fast, he couldn't Out-G his fall. He either Over-G'd or lost control and then boom. This happens when you think you are an ace confident. Well mistakes happen, and in such situations can't be corrected. Apologies as integrity of the forum is important so no emoji rollouts.
