After its initial induction, which is supposed to be by 2nd half of 2020, we would have to wait for another couple of years for full scale deployment before going into serial production. Now as per news 114 is in pipeline, but it would eventually take atleast 2 years for it to resume. When will they finally be inducted in huge numbers any idea guys.
They wasted a tonne of money that could have been spent on it buying Apaches. When will they finally be inducted in huge numbers any idea guys.
Yeah...They wasted a tonne of money that could have been spent on it buying Apaches.
It is more like comparing an apple to a different type of apple.Yeah...
They wasted tons of money in buying Oranges whereas it could have been used in buying Apples.
Yeah...It is more like comparing an apple to a different type of apple.
IA/IAF have to first get off their a$$ and put their money where their mouths are to order those just 15 LSP that HAL has already started to make for them. When will they finally be inducted in huge numbers any idea guys.
They both start with "A" for Attack Helicopter.Yeah...
One which starts with "O" with one which starts with "A".
But they both have two different role to play which also start with "A" for Altitude. They both start with "A" for Attack Helicopter.
LCH can fly at all altitudes, why do they need Apaches over indigenous attack helos when you can buy 2-3 LCH for one Apache? But they both have two different role to play which also start with "A" for Altitude.
Because in its current form LCH lacks the firepower to engage targets in plains which effectively would be tanks. Apaches has been procured keeping in mind the tank warfare scenario and LCH has been designed from scratch keeping in mind high altitude mountainous warfare.LCH can fly at all altitudes, why do they need Apaches over indigenous attack helos when you can buy 2-3 LCH for one Apache?
Helina? They could integrate Hellfire if it was an emergency, no need for overpriced Apaches. These orders are just taking precious funds from indigenous programmes.Because in its current form LCH lacks the firepower to engage targets in plains which effectively would be tanks. Apaches has been procured keeping in mind the tank warfare scenario and LCH has been designed from scratch keeping in mind high altitude mountainous warfare.
In anti armour role, Apache could carry 16 Hellfire missiles and 30mm canon. Whereas LCH could carry 4 Helina and 20 mm canon.Helina? They could integrate Hellfire if it was an emergency, no need for overpriced Apaches. These orders are just taking precious funds from indigenous programmes.
Hmmmm, I don’t buy this argument. You can buy 3/4 LCHs for the cost of 1 AH-64E. Are you telling me the Apache carries more firepower than 3/4 LCHs? Of course it doesn’t. It also creates an entirely separate logistics footprint for the services that LCH to a large extent negates by having vast commonality with the large (and growing) ALH/LUH fleets.Because in its current form LCH lacks the firepower to engage targets in plains which effectively would be tanks. Apaches has been procured keeping in mind the tank warfare scenario and LCH has been designed from scratch keeping in mind high altitude mountainous warfare.
