In order for this to happen, Germany has to cover all the costs and repay back any Russian assets seized by Germany with interest.
I hope you guys understand the upshot of all this. In the not so distant future Germans as opposed to Germany would could come to the realisation that their cause is better served with them exercising full autonomy in pursuing their security & as a sub set of this , their diplomacy , independent of others.

That's when German rearmament will commence & that is something the whole of Europe fears , especially its neighbours , far more than they do Russian aggression. Add to this a declining economy & a whole lot of immigrants from the peaceful community & you'd realise why it's a good time to be a German a couple of decades from today.

No longer.
Germany has fallen way too behind the curve to ever become a powerful military again. France by far will remain only military great power in Europe.
I wouldn't share your confidence & be as sanguine about them . After all these are ze Germans we're talking about. Besides most of the emaciation of the armed forces is a recent phenomenon. It's happened during Merkel's tenure. Otherwise ze German armed forces were decently equipped .

Btw - one of the other little known facets of the EU NATO relationship is when France was pressing Germany to guide EU into taking a more independent line vis a vis the US , the discussions naturally veered towards the security arrangements to which France responded that eventually the EU would have to have an armed forces independent of NATO or NATO minus the US , if the EU had to have an independent foreign policy.

Ze Germans under Merkel balked at this. Apparently they weren't confident themselves as to the repercussions of this move fearing this could revive the war spirits of ze Germans once again . When the rest of Europe especially the Slavic states heard of it they were even more alarmed & doubled down on assisting UK in getting the US to play a more dominant role to which ze Germans obliged by withdrawing from taking a lead in articulating an independent line thereby ditching the French , with the result they're today in the soup they are .

Vidhwa vilaap from germs soon

More details -
In Germs-many, BRICS expansion is considered a defeat for Ursula von der Leyen and Borelj

▪ The expansion of BRICS represents a personal defeat for the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, journalist Ramon Scheck stated for the German newspaper "Berliner Zeitung".

▪The journalist noted that nearly half of the world's population, including some of the fastest growing economies, will soon be in a "truly global alliance."

▪Shek believes that with the admission of new members, the transcontinental alliance will "rise to the level of BRICS plus".

▪In addition, he states that the word "de-dollarization", which was discussed at the BRICS summit, is likely to cause concern in the US and NATO countries.

Germans are increasingly concerned about migration and the economy as the AFD continues to soar in the polls.

Three quarters of Germans do not consider the state of the economy to be in good shape. Only 1% considers the economy to be fairing very well.

"Germs-many's Energiewende was an illusion propped up by cheap fossil fuels (in its case cheap Russian natural gas) and that is the norm in the Green energy field. And Wall Street is now betting against Green energy, having finally figured that out." - Carolina Lion

Thanks for highlighting the article.

Real prosperity is by burning cheap and reliable fossil fuels. The transition to unreliable green energy without any backup is going to devastate the West.

Germany is not in a recession but in a depression.
last time Germany was in a depression, it didn't end well for Europe.
In regards to the non-native population, I would suggest them to buy a back up home in their country of origin.
