I hate to bubble your burst but I work with a lot of Chinese and they are one of the most racist people on Earth. They love white skin with lots of money. It is extremely hard to get accustomed to their mindset and culture. They don't pick either Pakis and or Indians. Having said that, there are always exceptions. I have had a handful of very good Chinese friends. One of my Indian friends married a Chinese girl against her parents wishes.

I hate to generalize people but culture matters when it comes to discrimination. I would like to be proven wrong in this case.

You are right. Most Chinese that marry Indians overseas are not mainland Chinese. They are usually Malaysian Chinese, Singaporean Chinese or Indonesian or Thai Chinese with several Taiwanese. The ones in the West are one of these lots who are more open and culturally similar to Indians, especially the Indian-Americans.

Though yes, they do love their white skin (as do the Indians to some extent, as this obsession is lessening) they are much more open than the mainlanders. White skin obsession in East Asia is far worse than what I used to think was in India.
