Agreed. There is an easy solution though. Set the entrance requirements very high so that most Pakis don't qualify. Set the fees/costs so high that most Pakis can't afford

True, you can't stop them all but that number of Pakis who are rich as well as intelligent must be extremely small. It is very hard to make policies that will outright ban an ethnicity unless UAE agrees to it which is doubtful.

An update on the negotiations between Pakis and Afghans.

Last week the Paki army sent a special envoy to Afghanistan to read the riot act: Fix TTP right now or ELSE the mighty Paki army will come down on you! I guess the Pakis expected the poor and the inferior Talibans to quiver in fear, beg the forgiveness of the Paki overlords and get the TTP to surrender immediately.

Well, that DID NOT happen. Instead the Afghan Deputy PM gave a peace sermon that would put Gandhi to shame: "Pursue the 'path of peace' instead of 'use of force'”. The Deputy PM also reminded Pakis of bitter experience of wars in Afghanistan and advised Pakis to take the path of negotiations instead.

These Talibs have become experts at the art of diplomatic BS; after all they learnt that from the best, the Pakis themselves.

This was done due to Mao's obsession with secrecy over practicality and the result was all their rocket debris always landing somewhere in central asia or on our borders. Syria under Assad was never an islamist shithole. Syrian women were free and wore modern dresses there. During a documentary shoot when I saw deployed there over 15 years ago, it was a bustling country. Spice trading bazaars, cotton farming, wheat sellers, bread makers, and Syrian people enjoying their calm and peace much like us or any other country. They even have a local alcoholic drink popular called arak in Arabic

Alcohol was "officially illegal" but Syrians were ardent drinkers who would invite you to underground private alcohol parties once you became friends with them. This alcohol was smuggled from Turkey in the backs of Toyota pickup trucks and vans and traded.

The lunatics opposed to Assad are the ISIS-style fanatics backed by the US, NATO and other cronies.

By the way, Hinduism has been found in ancient Syria too. This was ages ago, and I am not much aware of too much detail, but heard a talk show where scholars debated that king Jayadhrata (the one who killed Arjun's son prince Abhimanyu, through deceit) was believed to have been Syria's king.
