Then they got BeeeDeeee laborers from the gulf to come back home and work to build medium sized ships. As S.Korea and China have advanced to gigantic container ship building, BeeDees are doing the small to medium sized ships and have decent export orders. It is definitely a good start. They are actually getting FDI in this sector. Definitely good progress despite setbacks and losses.

The worst part is our pajeet IQ politicians have completely fked our shipbuilding industry. Unlike kanglus we are thr 2nd biggest steel producers, yet have a negligible share of the global shipbuilding industry. We should have been competing with east asia as we can produce steel at scale and have low labour costs. We even had companies like Reliance in the past making massive ships, yet we allowed all of them to go bankrupt. Our state owned shipyards are happy sitting on their ass waiting for warship orders. Imagine how much our engineering industry could boost with a big shipbuilding sector. Slowly more components like engines, propulsion systems etc could have been designed here due to the large base. Yet we now expect the same to happen based of 10 warship orders over a decade. No wonder our navy shipyards take 2-3x longer to build ships compared to China, Korea, Italy etc

Do crazy things, you get zero results. We are lucky the porkis do 100 times crazier things than what we do. We have done a lot of crazy things over the past 7 decades - things no leading country would ever do. Even now, our overall armed forces are not in the best possible shape they could be. A lot of the $70 billion budget goes toward salaries and pensions, and not enough for R&D. We still don’t have a program that attracts the best and brightest Indians to come work here. China has been doing this for 20+ years now - a key reason for their fast technology development. You need world class engineering for quickly developing advanced systems. Finally, we have private sector working on defense technology- this should mean them hiring some top engineers of Indian origin. We have just started. But we are way behind China in advanced technology R&D. So, the private sector must be given large orders including in shipbuilding to advance in all engineering areas.

We are not talking about Pakistan. We are talking about Egypt which without any doubts holds an air force enough to bother even UK and France once.

On paper yes but in terms of actual training we have yet to see any tangible results. I would take the Israel Air Force over Egyptian Air Force any day of the week any time of the year. Israeli pilots have way more training than Egyptian pilots.

I based it on the following:

1. They realized isolation and minus india development won’t work.
2. Smart enough to milk india and China at the same time. Got us both to build expensive bridges.
3. Investment in Dhaka urban development is more comprehensive and modern than any Porki urban trash city. So they are capable of realizing cities are the growth engine. And capable of urban investment.
4. Building nuke power plants. Building beginning of electronics industry. Have a decent ship building industry .
5. No shame in getting an oil deal done from Russia through India.
6. Smartly accessed cheap power from Nepal by commissioning modern transmission lines to India.
7. Through rigging, established a long term leadership that is focused on economic reviva and establishing security. They were bold enough to hang all the jamaatis and other trouble makers who would have derailed the economy.
8. Not pissing off India with nasty statements but certainly pissing off pukistan with 1971 defeat glorification.
9. Not dependent on IMF for handouts. Being prudent with debt overall.
10. Tapping into overseas Bangladeshis for expertise and leadership.
11. Maintaining investment grade sovereign credit rating for a while now. Their rating has been stable for 10+ years now.
12. Building expressways even if expensive. In other words investing in infrastructure even if expensive like the East Asian model.
