Let's brakdown the price,
Rafale Indian contract: €7.89 or $8.85 Billion
36 aircraft for 3.42 Billion + 1.7 billion for Indian specific changes + 1.8 billion for support and infrastructure + $710 million for weapons + €353 for logistics.
Flyaway price per unit is therefore €95 million or $106 Million per today's rate not even counting support and logistics. Support and Infra costs are €50 million or $55 million a pop. Even if we take the cost of €1 billion for one time cost of set-up of base infrastructure, we are looking at support costs of €22 million or $24 million per bird.
Add the basic total, we are looking at roughly €145 million or nearly $160 million per bird.

For the Super hornet, the flyaway price is $67 million or $70 million including non recurring support & support costs in the USN, hence quite a bit cheaper and it finally does what is needed at lower total cost. It also deploys more types of weapons, has a reliable combat record. Rafale isn't all that better for nearly twice the cost.
As far as its BVR capability, it's the only aircraft to have a scored a aim-120 kill on the Raptor and is the sole fighter defending all of the USN's key assets, they are more than confident in its abilities. The res of your post is gibberish
