umm... subtracting fuel required for Take off and Landing.. what is the fuel fraction left for intercept? What is the maximum height achieved by it? What advantage does it have over QRSAM - other than reusability? How is it guided towards threat?

Truck bhi jhaant barabar banate hain
Engine IP with US, manufactured by Cummins
They only started gaining some aesthetic sense by partnering with Brazilian Marco Polo for body building on the same chassis they used for trucks(ironically they had partnered with Benz before that but their culture didn't change at all). Their truck's upfront cost is low, and spare parts are easily available- trucking as a whole is an industry of network- from Tata to Castrol they all know this.

Hard to expect innovation from group companies where top leadership is essentially only bureaucrats (they literally have 'TAS' like pvt sector ka IAS🌝- general management buggers who hold key positions in Tata Sons group)
But Cummins has the plant in India to make engines for trucks. This means the engines are still made in India. It is common for automobiles to outsource engine production so that the government shenanigans like BS4, BS6 won't affect them much

If this is pertaining to TASL not investing much in R&D , pls note that the Tata group is notorious as a fiscally conservative group .

As opposed to other baniya business houses they are willing to spend on R&D but they would want 100% assured results failing which the team & team leader would've had it & anybody associated with R&D will tell you can't be committed first up.

Result - TASL & other Tata group cos will be miserly when it comes to opening up their purse strings for such activities. Baniya cos won't even bother with R&D.

Do , what we have is a choice between the devil & the deep blue sea.
I'd rather give it to DRDO/ADA rather than TATA,trust me libtards companies would sell off their god damned country(acc to them) for morality and also they are more interested in screwdrivergiri than actual R&D,they will be sitting with asses waiting for foreign country ToT to manufacture just like porkistan does with jf17
With all the limitations of ada atleast they do R&D and even if their failure is more compared to success its due to large workload on them with less budget

The only private company which is interested is VEM technology
Sadly not even L&T is ready till now
Part of the blame also lies with failure of airforce to convince they'll be committed to amca(yea the statements by ACM matters but so did they say for tejas)

For how many years Tata group has been a powerhouse in Indian Business space??

How many govt projects they get on regular basis??

For how many years they are in manufacturing of heavy vehicles?

How much funding they need to come up with even 200-250 HP indigenous engine.

during late 90s and early 2000s Both Tata and Mahindra group took help from a Design firm in Europe to make their new Diesel and petrol engines, Mahindra over time refined and evolved both the engines but Tata moved down to 3 pot engines.

This 3 pot engine madness needs to be died down. Every car is getting ruined with this engine. Shitty balancing and poor vibration is the only advantage. These guys are simply cost cutting and giving an inferior engine.

Even Suzuki swift new gen will be 3 pot engine. Give back the 4 cylinder. Smooth and efficient enough.

Also TATA motors in its transition done a lot of weird decision. They pull brakes on 2.2 Dicor which is a competent engine before BS6. Killed Hexa which started to gain a good response. Being late to the GDI engines. Again a questionable Petrol engine for upcoming Safari/Harrier (1.5L 165 HP vs 2.0L 200HP mstallion) engine. Also fails to fix issues in older X1 platform cars like Nexon, Tiago and Tigor. Comparatively new ALFA and Omega Arc platform has better ergonomics.

Also TATA lacks the will to go Global. Compared to Mahindra started with Scorpio Pik up in South Africa and Australia and now completely went into further expansion with ScoripioN, XUV700 and upcoming Pik up.

There is no innovation but only degeneracy. BS4 gives higher mileage than BS6. So, why was the move? Just for politics in the pretext of pollution. Majority of the pollution comes from coal plants, stubble burning, iron processing, cement making etc. But still these unwanted changes had to be brought in
Don't divert.

BS6 came few years back. It's not like Tata had any 250 hp engine in the pipeline which got cancelled .

Since Army didn't like Tata's WhAP, hopefully Mahindra bags it now.

Truly, these Tata Guys have been given drdo Whap tech a long time back and what have they really innovated on it. The answer is nothing.

Mahindra seems to be the better option than tata anyday.

Who knows if the C295 manufacturing project given to Tata was a good move or not. Will any of their own designed and developed plane come out from their side after this screwdrivergiri experience.

Eitan APC is years ahead of Stryker APC but, its 30-35 tons. Some private Indian co could ask for some TOT from Israel and produce something like Eitan but, lighter.
