Good. Long overdue.
This baby was in gestation for too long and needs to be delivered ASAP.
There is a vacuum in the Air Force training regimen and the Kiran intermediate jet
trainers should finally rest in peace after having served excellently.
Also the IJT needs to succeed in order to reinforce our confidence in indigenously designing aircraft. It would be a black spot if it failed. I hope we learn our lessons on why it could not pass the spin and stall tests initially. And where we erred in the design.
I foresee a good export market for it among developing countries once it succeeds and is used by our Air Force. We should try to have an indigenous engine powering the IJT.
