L & T is the only firm that could accomplish this task in time and budget the sudarshan could be modified from a Area Defence to Mobile Air Defence.

Along with the gun, you need SAM to counter the threats. For that you need a mounted target acquisition RADAR.

There's empty space on both sides though... The ammo could definitely be repositioned. Let's see how the final prototype looks like.

Yeah. It means there is no difference in between the 3D model and the original product apart from view asof now.

That's an assumption, although a possibility... we don't know the internal mechanism maybe they have found a way for more compact internal arrangement.
The ship one is pretty spread out & definitely not as tall as the truck prototype.

Absolute NO.

Biho is a combination of rotary canon and SAM. So we do need a absolutely new system to compensate it.

What u r referring to is a CIWS for point defence. Biho was selected under a tender for 'selfpropelled air defence gun missile system'. The system you are discussing about, does not fulfill the requirements of the tender. Only Biho/Biho like systems can provide the mobility and support to the armoured columns as envisaged by IA.

DRDO has over the years developed various naval sub-systems meant for signature reduction by using a combination of specialised design & advanced materials employed. All kinds of signature: IR, acoustic, vibrations, RCS etc. These systems are present in most of IN's ships today.

DRDO developed a Radar Absorbent Paint(RAP) formula for naval usage long ago. So far the only Indian Navy ship with a black superstructure is the Kamorta class with the black exhaust stack. It is not known if the RAP has been used here or if it has any IR suppressive properties.

How many under carriage modifications SU-30 will go thru? one would assume once SU-30 is modified to carry Brahmos, it is universal all other heavy loads on that hard point.

at 1:05:00 in the slide there are some radars mentioned in 2020. Anyone has some information about these ?

1) DAPAR in Medium range surveillance and Multifunction Radars.
2) Akash-NG and BSR-BMFR in Radars for SAM systems and artillery.
3) ANVESHA in Airborne, Imaging and Space based Radars. (From the picture looks like space based radar)
4) SBR and LRR in Long Range and Very Long Range Radars. (SBR is ship based)
