Damn that jet looks freaking dope if this was reality would have been amazing
IDRW is filled with ch#tiyas
Recycling old (maybe even fake) images with foolish headlines.

Koi feasibility study pe 1 minute bhi lagaye to samjh jayega ki 2 decade pehle bina vertical stabilizer ke TV engine dependent manned AC develop karne ki aukat thi bhi nahi apni.

"The platform...has met most requirements but needs further work to fulfil the military's goal of a drone that can reach an operational altitude of 30,000 feet and remain airborne for 24 hours," the report says, citing information received from Y Dilip, director of the state-run Aeronautical Development Establishment
"Primarily we were constrained by the engines," Dilip explained, as neither domestically produced engines nor international models were deemed suitable for the task at hand.
I can't understand why DRDO can't strap HAL Shakti engines of Dhruv & LCH on Tapas? Why go with inefficient, low-power piston engines when a better alternative of gas-turbine engines is available?

We should be asking why ADA is incapable of making a simple drone that can reach 30,000 ft. when multiple countries have succeeded in making it, and why should armed forces induct an inferior product when our enemies are flying vastly superior drones (Wing Loong 2, Akinci, WZ-10) ?

That point is great too imo just use the indigenous engine we were supposed to use and it should work

Why so tough question? Ask something way more simpler

If ADA's only problem was engine then what was stopping them from buying an off-the-shelf plane and modifying it to test all other systems? They could have easily bought a second hand Pipistrel Sinus, added all the stuff like FBW, sensor, SatCom and validated them. And as soon as we had a good powerplant we could have simply plugged and played it.

HAL has already done something similar with Prachand. Except suff like airframe and rotor every single sub-system on Prachand is interchangeable with Rudra.
