So whats the length of penetrating sabot rod and how it compares to Wesern FSAPDS? Also keep up the good job about informing us about new developments. On unrelated noted any idea about latest progress being made on wide angle frameless HUD by CSIO? Ps: Cam you load the pictures on imgur and then share? Preferably watermark them.

That is why i said spin off product, It does not mean necessarily its a clone copy ..

This is the version they were talking about few months ago, It has to be this ..

============

Visakhapatnam: After the successful induction earlier this month of anti-submarine heavyweight torpedo, Varunastra, into the Indian Navy, the Vizag-based Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) has now set its sights on developing a variant that can be fired from the submarine.
NSTL is also working on an advanced version of an electric guided heavyweight torpedo for which the first set of sea trials are expected to begin by year-end, NSTL director C.D. Malleshwar told reporters here on Wednesday.

Actually, its not! It has 1m difference in length and EHWT have 300kW battery output compared to 250kW of Varunastra

The EHWT is comparable to western torpedos in length and will hopefully arm the Shishumar , Scorpenes and P-75I subs. Space is a constraint in a sub unlike Ships.

Can we make an air-to-air AWACS killer missile based on this technology? Its even using dual pulse propulsion. Could it be that this is infact a dual purpose missile with the capability to kill AWACS as well?
It could be used as an ant AWACS missile too, provided it is released from given altitude to cover the slant range.
