I like the ATAGS method that we borrowed from BOFORS, where ammo is lifted and loaded by cranes but charge is loaded manually.

Archer is too complicated, will make it impossible to use if power shuts off in combat.... Which is why countries havent used that style much. At that point better to go for SPH of K9 style, similar but will have higher resistance to hits.
Just layman's glance at Archer gives you a feel about how the overall thing may be PTA driving in mountains but atleast it reduces the number of people and for all we know internally it may be no complex than exposed ones....at the rate of fire 5 to 6 rpm, automation may not be worth it in my opinion (atleast if it requires same crew level and so on). Just look at the elbit one that abing posted, its so much nimble and fast

low chance that kalashnikov just put an ak 12 stock to ak 203 in a haste for the expo or the army changed their mind of telescopic stocks
Nah, man we will be getting the vergin stock instead of Chad new telescoping stock. Always assume the worst case situation in our case, our forces are famous for making very stupid decisions, the fact that su30 mki upgradation is still not concrete is good enough proof. 2 steps forward and 1.5 steps backward.

Foolish of us to think that the Engine deal will go to anyone else (e.g. Safran, Rolls-Royce) but General electric... we will be importing/assembling over 400 of GE F-414 engines for Tejas MK-2 & AMCA MK-1.

Also Defence Matrix in its latest video says that MOU has been signed with GE for local manufacture of GE F-414 engines with 100% TOT (& this was told by Project director of Tejas MK-2)

Watch from 2:44 to 2:54

US & India already terminated Engine JV. 100% tot for screwdrivering is a part of 99 ge414 deal, and concluded a longtime ago, after that engine jv, then termination. No wounder why Safran asking 6 billions for jv.

Confusing, do you mean deal fell through with GE when you said terminated or concluded in favor? I thought they are two different streams, partnership with SAfron is different from deal with GE for 414

1. IAF wanted more powerful engine for LCA, and India requested 99 engines from foreign countries with local manufacturing, ge414 won against ej200, after that ADA started r&d of mk2.
2. 1st Indo-US DTTI failed, US proposed engine jv in 2nd DTTI, US companies rejected core & critical TOT, both gov cancelled jv.
3. New jv for 110 kn engine, no one interested in sharing core & critical TOT, and trying to acquire funds from India to develop their 4.5 engine further[plus looting]

Lol, they should have gotten it from Ukraine hook or crook like China but we are not that dynamic. Who will share TOT and why? We should simply buy and not get into that tot bs with USA.
