I heard the total number of 052d is 25 rather than previous 26 and the total number of 055 is 12 not previous 8

I've heard the same but there's no definitive proof until someone gets a shot of pre assemled structures for new 055.

All i'm sure about is the white stuff in your pic is snow.

Jiangnan has just launched a type 052d today..
So that makes 10 destroyers in a year !

this one (the 24th 052D ) was lauched yesterday ,but touched the water today...the place is just 45km away from my current positon.

and this is the 11th improved 052D (the 3rd batch) with extended heli deck and redesigned hangar, new long range EW radar replacing the 517B radar.

It is way too much praise being heaped on Chinese destroyers and other vessels under construction. These are copies of something in the West. These are yet to fire their guns in anger when somebody is firing at you with greater competence. That is unlikely to happen as Chinese are too afraid to loose with associated loss of prestige. Until then these are parade ground show pieces.

No country has ever launched double digit destroyers in a year after ww2. It is once in a lifetime thing.

These are copies of something in the West.

As in ?

These are yet to fire their guns in anger when somebody is firing at you with greater competence.

The same can be said about british type 45, indian kolkata class and pretty much 90% naval ships on the planet.
Then again, Arleigh burke was incapacitated by a cheap boat with IED, does that make it ineffective?

That can be a dangerous assumption at best.
Battle of paracel islands, johnson reef etc go against that assumption.
