Really lpd and lhd are very important for Taiwan expansion
Not saying it will be done in few months
Just saying that we're there is will there is way and Chinese have always stand out for it
Actually, they are mainly for the establishment of a presence in the East and South China seas. They need to let people know they can take/re-take the small strategic islands there. China has 2nd largest force of Marines after US at 25K but that is a tiny amount for a major assault on Taiwan. So the strategy there is different.

Blockade is more important in Taiwan scenario than assault on beaches. Destroyers, frigates and carriers for interdiction under A2/AD cover and protecting screen of submarines.

India really has no stake in the Taiwan play from a territory perspective. It is between CCPia and Taiwan. Just like India ignored HongKong events, we ignore Taiwan events. The only play we have there is Taiwanese companies redirecting their investments into India instead of CCPia. If this requires us to support Taiwanese independence we would do that. It is Japan and the US that are never going to allow CCP’s invasion of Taiwan.

The US has millions of combat trained veterans, including marines, in reserves. Plus the PLA is a contract force, whereas the US is a regular, professional force - well trained, well motivated, and well paid.

US has waged continuous non-stop warfare (exclusively against non-whites) in the modern age so they have overwhelming advantage in experience while China had no war for 40 years. Every Chinese knows this.

So the strategy must be to win a geopolitical competition outside of warfare. The big components of this is A2/AD where China floods the air and sea around China with weapons and an overwhelming naval presence on the seas around China at all times.

That is why we might end up with 10 carriers and 100 destroyers in the PLAN not for power projection around the world but sovereignty protection around China. Unless the US strips its forces around the world and concentrate them on the Western Pacific it will eventually be overwhelmed logistically to the point that they cannot even plan for warfare.

This depends on an industrial base that can flood the air and sea with warplanes and ships.

A promo video of China's new Wing Loong 3 UAV was shown at AirShow China 2022. The video shows the alleged future combat work of the Wing Loong 3 UAV. According to Chinese media, the Wing Loong 3 drone can carry 16 missiles and bombs, and it will also be equipped with a new PL-10E air-to-air missile. The UAV is made according to the scheme similar to the UAV General Atomics MQ-9A/B USA. Wing Loong-3 is equipped with a turboprop engine and has a flight range of up to 10 thousand km. The maximum takeoff weight of the UAV is 6200 kg with a payload of up to 2300 kg. The flight duration reaches up to 40 hours.

Finding trained manpower to man all these ships and equipments is not easy nor cheap.

Maybe not but definitely cheaper than going to war.

They are all at home not somewhere in another part of the world so it will be cheaper for them both train and patrol at the same time.

Taiwan news sources said over 100 US military planes tested PRC response around Taiwan recently. China responded with 300 planes.

When Shanghai was building the Type 003 CATOBAR, they were building monsters beside it that dwarfed the carrier:
