Can anyone comment on PLAN's experience with Su-33?
Is PLAN facing same issues as IN with Mig-29?
If yes, how is PLAN addressing this issues and if now how PLAN managed to avoid this issues.
Well, the Liaoning and Shandong carriers have been very busy with both being continuously at sea. The Taiwanese military had tracked over 70 tours for the Liaoning while the Shandong was in a major operational cruise in the South China Sea just in September (see my post above)!
Both ships operate the J-15 exclusively for fast jets so the availability must be pretty high to support the cadence for such a large number of cruises -- around 7 times per year per ship.
And because China has no training aircraft with tailhooks so far, all J-15s also operate heavily from land for training new recruits too when they are not at sea.
The best estimates show probably about 63 or so J-15s in service:
Split between two ships (we have seen 24 on deck with an undetermined amount in the hangar) and training duty on land, these planes are used constantly.
If you want to compare with the MIG29K you can post about the operational cruises they do per year on Indian carriers and see the differences. For China's beginner carrier plane, the J-15 has performed very well.
Read this for more in depth look into the J-15's record:

Rumors of the J-15’s unreliability have been greatly exaggerated.
