China's medical equipment market reaches 1.27 trillion yuan
(Xinhua) 13:36, March 29, 2024
CHONGQING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- China's medical equipment market totaled 1.27 trillion yuan (179 billion U.S. dollars) in market capitalization in 2023, official statistics have shown.

The figure was announced by the China Association of Medical Equipment at the 2024 China Medical Equipment Conference, which opened in the city of Chongqing in southwest China on Friday.

According to the association, the figure is 10.4 percent higher than that of the previous year. China has remained the world's second-largest single market for medical equipments.

In 2023, there were 138,000 medical equipment patent applications in China, representing 67 percent of all such patent applications in the world, said the association.

It added that the production of mid-to-high-end medical equipment saw significant growth in the country, while innovative medical equipment continued to emerge at a faster pace.

As per this video Chinese EV mfgr total some 500 including 100 of them just into mfg 4 wheeler passenger cars . Not only that more than 58% of such companies came up only since 2016. Why's that so ?

Well as per this video most of these companies are state owned enterprises or enjoy a significant stake by CCP in it . What's more CCP has spent close to 57 billion USD on it's EV automakers in the form of subsidies & purchases of these vehicles.

The nature of these subsidies are in the form of relaxed interest rates , relaxed tariff rates for electricity water & highly subsidised rates for land besides other subsidies offered .

CCP had started granting exemptions to the EV industry from tax way back in 2009 completely exempting taxes in 2014. Why else would a phonemaker like Xiaomi jump on to the bandwagon. There's a ton of money to be made attracting many fly by night operators .

I hope you realise what this means . More cars exploding on the roads , more poorly engineered cars , more after sales service being non existent , more ignominy for Chinese brands , etc .

Leave the market capitalisation aside Chang list the turnover of the top 10 medical equipment companies.

A not bad vid, thanks, but some mistakes:

SAIC, GAIC, DONGFENG are state owned.

NIO, XPeng, Li Auto are established by the bosses made billions of $ from Internet tycoons plus some US venture capitals.

BYD has large part of shared by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

Tesla 100% owned by international capitals, 5% of them owned by Tencent, and Tencent also has some share from government capital.

They all got subsidies from government.

It's bloody capitalism market, the government just provides battlefield.

It's like Chinese mobile phone market, 2008-2014 it had 300 brands. 2016-2024, there are only 5 left, Huawei, Xiaomi, BBK, Lenovo, ZTE. But from 2014, those survived brands took world's 60% market, including India.

Who knows how many of those companies are CCP owned & how many are owned by individual party apparatchiks ? That's the beauty about CCP & China

Warren Buffett has reduced his holdings in BYD to negligible amounts some time ago. This was pointed out to you innumerable times by myself & @RoaringTigerHiddenDragon yet you continue with this falsehood. Bill Gates owns no shares in BYD.

If someone else makes a mistake out here, you're quick to pounce on him labelling him a liar, yet the same never applies to you in spite of repeating your lie & it can't be a mistake for you've repeated it plenty of times out here & have been called out for it.

Yes because it's capitalism , your EVs are about to attract high tariffs by the EU, they're banned from the US & India is strangling your EV industry out here.

And the lesson from all this has been gleaned from the way your cheap Mobile phones has captured the market. You've been selling exclusively to third world countries where the gameplan is high volume low margins . It's a matter of time before those Chinese brands are kicked out too. . Meanwhile enjoy the money you make. These wonderful times aren't going to come back to you.

History cannot assume that Chiang Kai-shek never really unified the mainland.

But as commander in chief, General Chiang led China to victory in World War II and became a permanent

member of the UN Security Council.

Thank you, Mr. Jiang, national hero of China
Both Xinjiang & Tibet became independent during the rule of the Guomindang.

In what way did China win WW-2 against Japan ? All you did was put up a fight & get plastered by the Japanese . It's because you put up a fight that a significant amount of Japanese forces were tied up leaving the US to mount a successful counter offensive culminating in Hiroshima & Nagasaki & Japanese surrender.

Incidentally I'm of the opinion that this is precisely the role India'd play against China while the US goes on the offensive in the near future once China attempts to invade Taiwan.

Thank you Chiang Kai Shek for taking Taiwan & ensuring that the civil war between the Guomindang & CCP never really ended but entered a stalemate lasting 75+ years only to resume once CCP attempts to take Taiwan.

The sale on Oct. 25 lowered Berkshire's holdings in BYD's issued H-shares to 7.98% from 8.05%, the filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Tuesday showed.

Stakeholders in Brazilian chemicals sector have also complained.

"Last year saw one of the most critical situations in the entire history of the national chemical industry," the news agency cited Brazilian chemical industry association President Andre Passos Cordeiro as saying. "We see temporary increases in import tariffs as an indispensable regulatory tool for combating these predatory operations and preserving the domestic market."

A significant reason why Chinese manufacturers can produce at below-market prices is the amount of subsidies Beijing pours into its industries—estimated in 2019 to be double that handed out by the U.S. government—have put other countries on their guard.
All the money and debt from the collapsing property sector is now being redirected to manufacturing. This type of state subsidized manufacturing model is bound to cause trade conflicts around the world. Now even Brazil is threatening tariffs due to Chinese dumping.

The question remains how much can the CCP subsidize, if Trump keeps to his word and impose his 60% tariffs. A huge part of that margin will be paid by the CCP or local governments, or else all these manufacturing will further move to SEA, India and other non tariffed countries.

Looks like CCP Wumaos will still continue their deceitful ways in spite of being exposed .

Berkshire originally purchased its BYD stake in 2008 for just $232 million. In late 2021, Berkshire owned about 21% of BYD, according to Hong Kong regulatory filings, which was worth more than $7 billion dollars at its peak last year.

Yes , indirectly Bill Gates used to own 21% of BYD which by your own logic is now reduced to > 8% . Was that what you were trying to draw our attention to ?

PayTM was mismanaged. What's the connection to Berkshire holdings in BYD or any other Chinese investment or Indian investment.

Tariff's work if you can source from some other source that can provide same but not by routing the same products or assembled and stickered from tariffed country....its no different from dollar tax for using it as reserve.
