^^^ well does it mean we could see another mark 2 protoype
it's really confusing, because last year they reported the 1st prototype was doing trials.^^^ well does it mean we could see another mark 2 protoype
We all know that they have for some good reason kept the left side without ERA. Here is the computer generated image
Look at the left.. Arjun MBT Mark 2 Prototype 1..
one at the bottom provide greater protection to Arjun tank then what is given by T90S.What kind of armour geometry is better for Arjun Mark II?
Do not assume they are necessarily Kaktus or Kontakt-5. The images are indeed of those, but the question here is that of geometry.
How many prototyes are there for ARJUN MK-II......

What you see may be P3..Look at the left.. Arjun MBT Mark 2 Prototype 1..
Loving It Saar!! I wish any one of us suggest this kind of Design to DRDO folks . Am ready to Pay for Flight Ticket or even if some one from AVADHI visit there ,am ready to sponsor his stay or travelling allowance to vehicle factory. or we all can sponsor some senior member to AVADHI .since i had some free time to play with 3D software
here is what i want them to do
Very nice :thumb:since i had some free time to play with 3D software

+1 to that mate.Loving It Saar!! I wish any one of us suggest this kind of Design to DRDO folks . No, I'm talking about the "P-1".We all know that they have for some good reason kept the left side without ERA. Here is the computer generated image
120mm NATO ammo can be a good reason..I really wonder reading the Force article on FMBT as to why we are aiming for 120 mm Gun with FMBT and not 125 mm Gun to have common ammo logistics with T-72 and T-90.
FMBT will replace T-72 from 2022-2025 onwards , that means a significant percentage of tank in the next 3 decades will be T series even if FMBT goes in full production.
Not convinced how ?120mm NATO ammo can be a good reason..
We would assume that NATO will actually give us their best ammo highly unlikely unless we join NATO.
We assume that DRDO or Russians wont come up with a decent ammo highly unlikely.
I would be dissapointed if we do not take logistics interoperability for FMBT right from design stage and end up with unique systems doesnt help
Keeping this in mind, the Arjun Mk-2's improved performance seems to have put the Army in a spot. What does one do with a tank that is fast, can shoot accurately on the move and is relatively well protected but is too heavy to be deployed in the deserts near the Pakistan border as a replacement for the T-72 or T-90? Paradoxically, while the tank itself has demonstrated high speed and mobility, its weight precludes it from being able to operate anywhere the army wants it to. The Arjun Mk-2 will weigh around 67 tonnes and this fatally limits the tank's operational effectiveness for the Indian Army.
The tank is too heavy to be deployed across the border with Pakistan. It is unable to effectively traverse terrain filled with natural and/or artificial obstacles. Or areas criss-crossed with rivers and canals. That rules out most places in Rajasthan, Punjab .
Sir they are paid to do it. The very fact that they dont know much about tank but still write as if they are tank commander, shows ulterior and malicious motive .Why these people are spreading disinformation about tank`s ability..
Why this bolded comment is coming, when Arjun has gone through successful cross country rigorous testing for thousand kilometers? This is a planned propaganda against Arjun. I am afraid Arjun will ever be inducted in significant numbers. Russians have skimmed lot of dollars out of T-90 deal that too w/o full TOT...............The tank is too heavy to be deployed across the border with Pakistan. It is unable to effectively traverse terrain filled with natural and/or artificial obstacles. Or areas criss-crossed with rivers and canals. That rules out most places in Rajasthan, Punjab .....
