But that engines production was stopped. It was said that German engine will take 4 years to enter production..
Some MTU MB 838 (1400hp powerpack also used in Arjun Mk1) engines have already been supplied when the deal was sealed back in 2021, so initial batches won't be delayed.
they didn't accept the new MTU MT 883 engine and RENK HSWL 295TM transmission? Obviously MTU can’t restart production of a legacy engine overnight &
Given the combined order size of both Arjun variants being not more than 242 tanks, this step likely has been taken to maintain commonality and to simplify logistics..

Drdo will put there datran 1500hp engine..
Drdo did gave statement in February that German engines are delayed they will use indigeneous engine now..
It might take even more time for testing instead they might import 1500hp
MTU MT 883 engine and RENK HSWL 295TM

So finally will it hamper the September 2024 deliveries of the Arjun mk1A? Does DRDO have enough engines to atleast accommodate one or two batches? Maybe Datran engine can be equipped from 2025 onwards?

Delays™. Unless the Datran 1500 engine is fast-tracked. I doubt the Germans will deliver new 883 engines this year or even by the next year.
