It is and prototype already developed, flight testing will happen soon on a dornier maybe or any other testbed
I am not sure whether the prototype is ready or not ,and I don't think so we can be sure at this point of anything ,I believe the Prototype Manufacturing has started or will start Very soon , Anyways we can only do Assumptions at this point , most of the Project detail is classified and for good reasons ,hope you get that.

I'm pretty sure about that,my friend
This is one of the critical tech which we were developing from earlier

Yes , you are right Buddy , it's better that we keep this type of Projects under Wraps , AMCA is a very crucial project for Ours. It will be a breakthrough for our Aerospace industry

I think AMCA nozzles would be serrated like this to hide signature(not sure tho)
The saw-tooth trailing edge design was missing in the model displayed this year. Don’t know if they’ll put this in actual aircraft or not, they should ideally.

I remember reading that funds for AMCA prototype has not yet been released. Is this still true?
Not sure whether the Funds have been released for AMCA or not , can someone please confirm whether the Funds have been Allocated or not ?

Yes,you are right ,it will be a good enhancer in reducing the Radar Cross Section, anyways ADA, DRDO etc know what they are doing so I don't think so we should Worry much about it ,I do have a feeling that Saw tooth trailing should be added(my personal opinion)

From the back side I think the hot exhaust is the bigger concern by many orders of magnitude more than shaping/serration. Don't know if it may be possible to suck cooler air from surface of plane and mix it with the hot gases exiting afterburner to reduce their temperature or maybe use space shuttle grade foam insulation materials around exhaust to keep surface temperatures in check. Basically, give it IR stealth.

Radar stealth would be a secondary optimization once the heat signature is reduced.

KF-21 Boramae rear with same F414s destined for AMCA- skips any exhaust shielding or shaping altogether!

Mitsubishi's X-2 does a better job by shielding the whole body of the engine upto exhaust tip:

Just a hunch but I think ADA will go with the Korean solution. Even Su-57 adopts the same approach.

Bro...
These models do not depict the whole picture, are displayed only so that we get basic idea of design looks.
The serrated nozzle thing is a part of detailed design.

Maybe 1:40 onwards is your answer

My guess is that the serrated ones would be put in AMCA Mk2.
