@AMCA earlier was supposed to have sidebays too like other 5th gen aircrafts, but it got F’d up dunno why.

Testing issues , sidebays have ccm , which in turn are launched in high g , high speed manuver , this require long testing period , airframe changes , so ditched for mk 1 , mk 2 for sure

Cats warrior will be there so do , wingman of enemy , you will definitely need ccm ,hope we go for something like cuda and aim 260 after astra saga is completed by 2025 .

Timeline for mk 1 is not 2034 , who told you 2034 ? , And what drdo is doing is developing basic capability first , making a f 35 first , then go for advanced one , like more missile in weapons bay , if you look closely at 4 missile layout , there is space for staggered 3missile , somewhat above two in it , if we can notice it ,drdo can too ,also launching mechanism and launcher size need reduction , they are going with available tech , when advanced one are available will integrate it .

Patience for more advanced project to come in limelight and present one to get completed .

Also to add , older ccm are going to be complemented by smaller cuda like missile for smaller range and almost half the length

AMCA will be able to carry fuel tanks in its internal bays, whic can be jettisoned too. So it can easily fit CATS Hunters.

3 years ,36 months for production ,too long , we are not doing f 35 saga ,nor j20 saga , it's different.

China delivered first production aircraft in 2015 , lrip one , even though they were bit unclear on it's problem and aspect , like ws 15 ,etc .

We are clear from start , we want a flying bird with given parameters to be achieved in mk 1 , and full exploitation of capability in mk 2 , no mumbo jumbo claims , no too weapons claim , only what is possible , also we are testing prototype , when china developed f 35 ,it was over ambitious on operational paramters like inter operability and all.

Koreans too took a intelligent route , we are more advanced and confident took some more risk but better aircraft overall
