A fair quota of those has been ascribed to pilot's mistake- and they are the top gun fellas assigned to that. In one accident the pilot pitched up too early, the plane skid on its belly thru the runway (pilot retracted the landing gears too prematurely). It's body is so sturdy that they could use it after some rework. This photo looks like landing skid off.
