difference of opinion over engines I believe, IAF wanted FADEC enabled engines , Russia was pushing for its own local engine which did not have FADEC .

Well, it's a reliable & capable bomb truck with AESA, not a fighter.
Tech upgrades can let it dump payload & carry out CAS air-strikes for another decade.. cost effectively.

Jaguars are our A10 warthog.
They can be used to take out tank columns and bombing.
At least that's what I believe.

jags are better cas machines with proper upgrade and better air cover they are very much front thrust for our cold start strategy
