That's the most stupid reply at least one can hear on Defense forums.
You know because of cross border fire our army is not able to patrol near LoC. This will open the floodgates for zombies on otherside. This tit for tat LoC firing only cost Lives on poor soldiers both sides without any gain. If we want to be aggressive we should carry out offensive invasions and capture the parts in PoK. What we r getting return from cross LoC fire except loss of lives on both sides.

Documents discovered from the site of the Nagrota terror attack reportedly reveal that the attack could have been carried out by the Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Afzal squad. The notes allegedly say “Revenge for Afzal Guru.” (Times Now)

According to intelligence services, at least one Lashkar-e-Taiba cell had been active in the Valley, which had been plotting the attack at least two weeks in advance. (The Indian Express)

The strikes in Nagrota and Samba coincided with the day Pakistan’s new Chief of Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa took office. Harsha Kakar, a retired Indian Army officer said, the strikes on the day he assumes his appointment could also be a message that he would follow his predecessor, Gen Raheel Sharif, in every way. (The Quint)

The wives of two army officers staying in the family quarters helped avert a major hostage crisis. They blocked the entry to their quarters with household items, making it difficult for the terrorists to break into the houses. (PTI)

Military sources said the militants seem to have entered the Nagrota complex by climbing over the perimeter wall from the rear. They headed towards a complex of buildings which had residences for officers and their families. An officer and three soldiers were killed in the first fire contact. (The Indian Express)

Five jawans and two Majors of the Indian Army were killed when militants dressed as policemen ambushed a military camp in J&K in the early hours of Tuesday. A fierce gun-battle carried on for over 12 hours. (Hindustan Times)

It's about letting the enemy know we too can hit them..
Until now the enemy had no fear of this,

Now that these terrorists and Pakis have targeted families of soldiers, expect a new response from the military.

Not all responses are tactical. Some are lessons....I am certain Paki military and their families are going to learn a very important one in near future.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few young pigs butchered in an Army School somewhere in Pak...
Now is the high we should start arming and funding Taliban in Pakistan and balochis and Shi'a....

They are using proxies why shouldn't we...

Start pumping drugs from afghan borders and time to time flood their lands.
