Army officer dies after falling into ditch near motorway as containers blocked route: ISPR

An officer of Pakistan Army, Lt Col Shahid, died on Saturday evening after falling into a ditch near Hazro on the Rawalpindi-Peshawar Motorway, while another officer sustained serious injuries, the military’s media wing said.

According to the statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, Lt Col Shahid and Maj Jalal were travelling from Rawalpindi to Nowshera in a military convoy.

“Since the routes were blocked with containers, both officers got down from vehicles and were on foot to find an alternate route for the convoy,” the statement read.

“In the dark of the night both officers fell from the road edge into a ditch along the motorway near Hazro,” it added.

Due to the incident, Shahid died on the spot while Jalal sustained serious injuries.

PTI Leader Jahangir Khan Tareen expressed grief over the incident and held the authorities responsible for the incident,

"Saddened to hear about the tragic death of Colonel Shahid due to blockage of GT Road. Responsible authorities should be made answerable asap," he tweeted.

So not only did they deny him martyrdom in the line of duty, but also gave him death in a gutter. Poetic.

i'd say that the objective is not to demoralise the paki public but to make them aware of the consequences, Hoping that the public pressure will force the paki Govt/Army will bring jihadi elements under restrictions.
The jehadi elements are funded by the people. Lot's of 'riyat' from Lahore Karachi Isb goes to PoK and this is used against India in Kashmir.

Jaish-E-Mohammed Backed By Pakistan Army May Be Behind Jawan’s Mutilation

With tensions raising along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, Intelligence agencies have suspected Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group with the backing of Pak Army for the killing and mutilation of 17 Sikh battalion Sepoy Mandeep Singh.

Mandeep was killed in an encounter in Machhil sector of Kupwara district, near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, a report said. Mandeep Singh was killed and his body was mutilated by terrorists on Friday evening. Paying tribute to the soldier the Army has warned of ‘effectively and military-like’ to Pakistan post the attack. Top government sources said that some 250-300 terrorists of both JeM and largely Lashkar-e-Tayyebba (LeT) are waiting in depth beyond the launching pads to infiltrate across the LoC for taking on the security forces.

Indian national security establishment has discussed the possibility of a BAT (Border Action Team) action by Pak terrorists along the LoC after September 28-29 surgical strikes by Indian special forces in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Indian Army Chief Gen Dalbir Singh had alerted the Northern Command on the possibility of such action, according to the report.

Home Ministry reports also indicate all the 101 BSF/Army posts have been targeted by Pakistani Army since September 28-29 with Uri and Machchil sector pounded by enemy mortars since surgical strikes. The Pakistani Army is firing across the IB and LoC with heavy machine guns and 82 inch mortars to facilitate infiltration by pinning down Indian security forces.

In another attack, BSF jawan Constable Koli Nitin Subhash was hit in an attack from Pakistan in Manchil sector of the valley. The jawan succumbed to his injuries in the morning. Since October 21, four BSF jawans and two Army soldiers have died in clashes and ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the IB and LoC in Kashmir.

That's why its so easy for Pakis to hide casualties, the families are just told they are going to jihad. They probably have funerals everyday for Lashkar terrorists, families probably don't even know their kin was in the army.

Very concerning

http://indianexpress.com/article/in...-to-probe-constables-death-in-machil-3729993/

The Border Security Force (BSF) will conduct an inquiry into the death of constable Nitin Koli while he was responding to a ceasefire violation from Pakistan in Machil sector along the Line of Control in Kashmir. Koli (28), who hailed from Dudhgaon village in Miraj tehsil of Sangli district, was deployed at a forward defence location in Machil sector. He was reportedly firing a weapon on Friday evening when there was an explosion in the chamber of an anti-materiel rifle and the recoil struck him. The explosion caused a serious injury to his shoulder and he succumbed in the early hours of Saturday at a medical facility during treatment.
I believe they are referring to Vidhwansak?

Why is the BSF not announcing if some Pak rangers got killed or not during annhilation of their posts? Posts can be rebuild within a year. But they have to wait for min. 20yrs to raise a Ranger from a little boy. Time matters. So instead of destruction of posts, kill those pigs one by one everyday, thereby decreasing enemy strength day by day.

the BSF gives estimate on the basis of intelligence sources or visuals of hit. Most of the data which people have been hearing is from intelligence sources and very few from visual.

Aur terrorist logo ko support karo, ya ye fals flag hai? Ye baki bacche logo ki jaan bhi le sakte.
Yeah, even with all the hate I have for Islam, I can't celebrate killing kids but god damn if they haven't brought it onto themselves.

Edit: removed Muslims, wrote Islam. I don't hate Muslims, I hate the religion
