A Regional Approach to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India
Tuesday, November 9, 2010 - 9:00am - 5:00pm

Today's day-long, invitation-only, on-the-record conference on the future of South Asia with some of the world's leading experts on Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The conference immediately follows President Obama's visit to India and precedes the formal review of the president's Afghan strategy and will provide, we hope, helpful context on these, and other issues about the future of South Asia.

In addition, two New America Foundation papers are being released at today's event:

* The Battle for Afghanistan: Militancy and Conflict in Kandahar, by Anand Gopal
*
Managing the Danger from Pakistan's Nuclear Stockpile, by Jeffrey Lewis
