How many of these hangars had helicopters in the past? Not even one. May be some in the navy must have thought in the near future all they can hope for best is to have one helicopter. So why waste space

Something just dawnee upon me...
Godavari class frigates (3400t) had 4×ASM & 24×SAM.
Talwar class frigates (3850t) has 8×ASM & 24×SAM.
Shivalik class frigates (6200t) has 8×ASM & 32×SAM.
Nilgiri class "frigates" (6670t) will have 8×ASM & 32×SAM.

In comparison:
Delhi class destroyers (6200t) has 16×ASM & 48×SAM.
Kolkata class destroyers (7400t) has 16×ASM & 32×SAM.
Vishakhapatnam class (7400t?) will have 16×ASM & 32×SAM.
GRSE building 10000t capacity dry-dock.

Basically India is developing same frigates, with same firepower, except newer ones get advance tech & are shitfucking larger... Why? Endurance?

Also, now we need to copy China and learn to quickly produce multiple clones of each ships... They've 20 Type-52D (7500t, 64 universal VLS) at various stages, 14 Type-55 (12500t, 112 universal VLS)!!!
Money is required not just to produce ships but putting them to use as well. Sailors and captains as well as depreciation of ship and spare parts and refit costs. We can make things proportional to economy onlee.

Its not just that they have a bigger economy, but somehow are also building these ships cheaper than IN.
056- $150 mil (8 AShM , 1500 ton)
054a- $350 mil (8 AShm + 32 SAM , 4000 ton)
052d- $600 mil (64 UVLS , 7500 ton)
055 - $1 Bil (112 UVLS , 12000 ton)
While IN is paying $1 Bil for 17A! (8+32, 7000)

But they took $175 million for two OPV from Nigeria.
And what did Sri Lanka pay for two OPV from India?

Edit: Internet search shows that each P18N opv costs $42 million USD.

Nigeria has good defence relations with China. They even have good defence relations with Pakistan. Pakistanis had helped them in training and maintenance of F7 fighters acquired from China.
They are probably buying JF-17 as well.

That was a rhetorical comment.
Obviously, nigerian govt saw value in the deal, or why would've they signed it ? Lets not go off topic here.

No, they actually are going for it, intending to use them against Boko Haram. Some 2, 3 or 4 in numbers. Nigerian netizens too were making fun of Buhari.

Nigeria is a poor country with highly stressed economy, population growth exceeding GDP per capita and with very low finances. This is best they could afford. I would too choose $20 millions fighter instead of running for the best plane if was at their place.

That could actually be because of superior, costlier tech & sensors in Indian ships.. also they have more efficient assembly line mass production.

All those numbers about PLAN vsls are purely speculation as China does not release any official figures in public. The actual defense budget and costs of individual items are protected under State Security laws so don't expect to see any official numbers. Costs in China for ship building are not as cheap as people believe, SK shipyards sell MR tankers for between US$52-56M each while Chinese yards sell the same for between US$50-52M but the relative quality is miles apart.

Prices for 056 and 055a were compiled by defense analysts like from the Diplomat, while for 052d, 055 , they were released informally by a general in 2014,2018 resp.
PLAN generals do actually speak out in the public more than what the perception is.
Last year itself, when questioned about the reduction of 300k troops, it was told the defense budget is split equally among the 3 forces while including common support force and spending on capex is roughly 1/3 of total budget. This would put PLAN capex at about $15-20B. The production numbers couldn't be supported if their costs are much higher than reported.

The biggest mistake you will make is to view the CCP and PLA with the same lens as you do any other equivalent in the world. Nothing...NOTHING is said by anyone even remotely connected to either side in public without total and firm authorisation by the Ministry of State Security. Do not ever take any public statement made by a Chinese official in China (serving or retired) at face value because every word in every speech is carefully controlled. The result of idle speculation about official matters is a bullet to the head there after all. Again I repeat there are no official or even unofficial numbers about anything related to the defence budget. Their total budget estimates go from $80B to $150B depending on who you ask but one thing to remember is unlike India, there is no CAPEX / OPEX separation. The military directly owns most of its industrial complex too so costs for equipment are rolled in.
