I don't know why you even waste time on Talwars when you can build ships like this. And she’s out! frigate ship.

This - $1B......I don't know why you even waste time on Talwars when you can build ships like this.
That doesn't include the engine which is a separate contract with Ukraine. This - $1B......
Talwar - $0.5B......
Engines don't cost $500 millionThat doesn't include the engine which is a separate contract with Ukraine.
Engine, weapons sensor and other part packages are different.Engines don't cost $500 million
It includes everything excluding the powertrain which costs $100-150m. Weapon, sensors of russian origin are all included. Extra costs may include Barak, Elta.Engine, weapons sensor and other part packages are different.
Numbers, mate. All shipyards have full order books, but IN needs large number of decent PSCs to fullfil it's mandate.I don't know why you even waste time on Talwars when you can build ships like this.
Any chance L&T will get order for building warships in future after completing 7 patrol vessels order?Numbers, mate. All shipyards have full order books, but IN needs large number of decent PSCs to fullfil it's mandate.
The 4 Talwars were an unmissable opportunity.
I don't believe the deal is for $500m per as the media reported because the same deal cost $900m per just a few years before that. What changed from then to now that they could drop the price nearly 50%?Engines don't cost $500 million
$950m was for 2 of 4 grigorovich to be made by Russia.I don't believe the deal is for $500m per as the media reported because the same deal cost $900m per just a few years before that. What changed from then to now that they could drop the price nearly 50%?
$ 950 mil with the Russian. GT extra with Ukraine.I don't believe the deal is for $500m per as the media reported because the same deal cost $900m per just a few years before that. What changed from then to now that they could drop the price nearly 50%?
So the stripped down cost from Russia is $450m per, then to add engines from Ukraine, radar and missiles from Israel brings it to how much per?$950m was for 2 of 4 grigorovich to be made by Russia.
$500m was for equipment for the other 2 that are to be made in Goa.
So $450m is for construction of hull and other equipment which can be sourced indigenously.
Obviously cost for engines from Ukraine and radar, missiles from Israel will be an additive to both figures.
Initial 3 talwars were bought for $1B in 1997
Following 3 for $1.6B in 2006
Way less than $1B.............So the stripped down cost from Russia is $450m per, then to add engines from Ukraine, radar and missiles from Israel brings it to how much per?
Engines, radar and missiles are the most expensive components of a warship. What you get from Russia is a floating barge and you have to do all of the work to make it combat capable.Way less than $1B.............
Russian system no or minimal Israeli systems. Load out similar to block ii of Talwar class but modernized. So the stripped down cost from Russia is $450m per, then to add engines from Ukraine, radar and missiles from Israel brings it to how much per?
Lol no.. Thats why i highlighted the $450m difference..What you get from Russia is a floating barge and you have to do all of the work to make it combat capable.
Exactly!Russian system no or minimal Israeli systems. Load out similar to block ii of Talwar class but modernized.
No MFStar no Barak 1/8.
