i will look up Sohail Ahmed on youtube soon , thanks for the tip .... btw the others are ok for me , a bit cheeky but also good funSohail ahmed is my favorite, he is not rude like these....
hahahahah good one thereWhat are they going to name it? Hakka Noodles or Chowmein?
They can also use American Names like Kitty Hawk or Enterprise.... And then copy every move from movies and tv shows about how to act on aircraft carriers... just be careful and don't copy from Swat Cats by mistake....

Looks very much like Vikramaditya.........quite a few years ago ,I have quoted our distinguished forum member's statement about the China Carrier development/Construction plan here on DFI...it's a 3-step long term plan :
Step 1. Continued construction of the Imported 'Varyag' STOBAR carrier----- Project Code : Type 001
Step 2. the construction of CATOBAR Carrier / conventional power / steam Catapult / 68000-8000 tons displacement(normal and full)----Type 002
Step 3. the Nuclear Powered CATOBAR carrier with EMALS
---------------
Step 1 has been accomplished --Continued construction of the Imported 'Varyag'
. in 2004, the central government approved the plan
. in Apr 2005, the pre-construction work began
. in Dec 2008, the continued construction started in the dock began.
. in March 2010 , it was launched and outfitting and port test began
. in Sep 2014. commissioned.
it took 8 years...
and then ,the plan was marginally adjusted , another STOBAR Carrier was arranged and became the second CV(first home-made one) although PLAN strongly opposed. but central committee made the final decision and arranged extra funds for this project was arranged besides the yearly Navy share of defense budget. the money might came from the Central government reservation savings...it might be called as Step 1.5
. around in 2010, the decision was maded
. in Novenber 2013 , the construction began
. in March 2015, the final assembly inside the dry dock began
. in April 2017, the ship was launched.
. and in 2019 (around Novenber) , it will be commissioned..
it will take 6 years/72 months
-------------------
before the Launch , loads of civilian came to watch the event closely on the Plaza of Dalian coastal park. quite some came from other cities far away...lol
two wonderful shots fresh released by our distinguished Aviation photographer- WM...lol..
the second day of Launch...the dry dock is emptied again , another assemly of vessel will begin soon...don't worry , it is a commercial ship next....lol
and the famous commercial Satellite Image provider -Digital Globe couldn't wait for publishing something as an timely AD.
new bridge would have new Gen dual-band AESA radar( but the big array is for searching, the small one might be for ESM/ECM)..BTW this mock-up has been changed for three times to test the electromagnetic compatibility of Type 001/001A/002 bridge layoutMock-up aircraft carrier in Wuhan undergoing modification for 002
No detailed information in public news, but not difficult to figure it out。Well, congratulations. you guys completed construction in just 4 years, what kind of engines does she use and radars?
a correction here: it was in Sep 2012 that CV-16 Liaoning was commissioned...Step 1 has been accomplished --Continued construction of the Imported 'Varyag'
. in 2004, the central government approved the plan
. in Apr 2005, the pre-construction work began
. in Dec 2008, the continued construction started in the dry dock .
. in March 2010 , it was launched and outfitting and port test began later
. in Sep 2014. it was commissioned.
it took 8 years...

Why would a moderator call forum members of a specific nationality "50 centers"?Why all 50 cent comes with signature ' LOL ' .. ?
Many congratulations. No detailed information in public news, but not difficult to figure it out。
1 Propulsion:4 TB-12 steam turbines,8 boilers, the same as LIAONING carriers's. With nuclear power as ultimate aim,it is an easier, quicker and cheaper choice than the gas turbines powering 052C/052D destroyers.Basically the same boat, why bother to use different propulsion system?
2 Radar:AESA,probably the same as 052D destroyer's.
