URGENT: Russia Starts Delivering S-300 Air Defense Systems to Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Moscow started the first phase of S-300 Air Defense deliveries to Iran on Thursday, Russian media outlets reported.
Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported minutes ago that Moscow has started delivering the systems to Iran in practice.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanayee had informed FNA in mid November that Moscow had adopted practical measures to start deliveries of the sophisticated air defense shield to Iran.
On November 9, Russia signed a new contract with Iran on the delivery of "about 300" S-300 air defenсe systems, according to Russia’s state technologies corporation Rostec.
Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanayee announced that the contract to deliver the Russian S-300 missile defense system to Tehran has been finalized and its implementation is underway.
"As our defense minister and the Russian side have announced, the contract has been finalized and both sides have reached a definite agreement in this regard," Sanayee told FNA.
"The implementation of the contract is moving on its natural course," he added.
In September, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced that the contract between Moscow and Tehran on the delivery of S-300 missile defense systems to Iran will be signed in the near future.
"The negotiations are continuing, the contract will be signed in the near future. All political decisions have been made, there are no obstacles there," Ryabkov said.
In 2007, Iran signed a contract worth $800mln to buy five Russian S300 missile defense systems.
But the deal was scrapped in 2010 by the then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev under the pretext of the UN Security Council sanctions, although the UN embargoes did not include defensive military systems.
Iran filed a $4bln lawsuit against Russia in the international arbitration court in Geneva.
Moscow then struggled to have the lawsuit dropped, including by offering the Tor anti-aircraft systems as replacement, media reported in August, adding that the offer was rejected by Tehran.
Yet, some reports said the Antei-2500 could be a better solution. The system does not formally fall under the existing sanctions against Iran while still being useful for the Middle-Eastern country.
While the S-300 was developed for the use by missile defense forces, the Antei-2500 was specifically tailored for the needs of ground forces, which could also be an advantage for Iran, known for its large land force.
Later, Iran rejected the offer, stressing that it would not change its order.
The S-300 is a series of Russian long range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz, all based on the initial S-300P version. The S-300 system was developed to defend against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Air Defense Forces. Subsequent variations were developed to intercept ballistic missiles.
The S-300 system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air defense of large industrial and administrative facilities, military bases, and control of airspace against enemy strike aircraft.
In the meantime, Iran designed and developed its own version of the S-300 missile shield, known as Bavar (Belief) 373. The Iranian version has superior features over the original Russian model as it enjoys increased mobility and reduced launch-preparation time.

In April, President Putin removed the ban on the delivery of the missile shield to Iran.

Following the announcement, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said "the decree came as an interpretation of the will of the two countries' political leaders to develop and promote cooperation in all fields".

Putin's decision was announced hours after relevant reports said the Kremlin also plans to supply China with the advanced S-400 air defense system.

Putin said during a meeting with Iran's Admiral Shamkhani that his decision to deliver the sophisticated S-300 air defense missile systems to Tehran set a role model at global class that every nation should remain loyal to its undertakings.
"The decision which was taken today bears this clear message that all countries are necessitated to remain committed to their undertakings," Putin said at the meeting in Moscow.
In January, Tehran and Moscow signed an agreement to broaden their defensive cooperation and also resolve the problem with the delivery of Russia's S300 missile defense systems to Iran.
The agreement was signed by General Dehqan and his visiting Russian counterpart General Sergei Shoigu in a meeting in Tehran in January.
The Iranian and Russian defense ministers agreed to resolve the existing problems which have prevented the delivery of Russia's advanced air defense systems to Iran in recent years.
The two sides also agreed to broaden their defense cooperation and joint campaign against terrorism and extremism.
There is no official information yet which modification of S-300 Iran plans to obtain: S-300PMU-1, which has been discontinued but may be specially produced for the Iranian side, or S-300VM.

Israel the Main Buyer of ISIS Oil — Report
Multiple reports claim that Israel is the top purchaser of smuggled ISIS oil

Citing multiple sources, the Israeli business press are now reporting that Israel is the main recipient of ISIS oil:

Kurdish and Turkish smugglers are transporting oil from ISIS controlled territory in Syria and Iraq and selling it to Israel, according to several reports in the Arab and Russian media. An estimated 20,000-40,000 barrels of oil are produced daily in ISIS controlled territory generating $1-1.5 million daily profit for the terrorist organization.

The oil is extracted from Dir A-Zur in Syria and two fields in Iraq and transported to the Kurdish city of Zakhu in a triangle of land near the borders of Syria, Iraq and Turkey. Israeli and Turkish mediators come to the city and when prices are agreed, the oil is smuggled to the Turkish city of Silop marked as originating from Kurdish regions of Iraq and sold for $15-18 per barrel (WTI and Brent Crude currently sell for $41 and $45 per barrel) to the Israeli mediator, a man in his 50s with dual Greek-Israeli citizenship known as Dr. Farid. He transports the oil via several Turkish ports and then onto other ports, with Israel among the main destinations.

In August, the “Financial Times” reported that Israel obtained 75% of its oil supplies from Iraqi Kurdistan. More than a third of such exports go through the port of Ceyhan, which the FT describe as a “potential gateway for ISIS-smuggled crude.”
It's been well-established that Turkey is a major transportation hub for ISIS oil smuggling operations. But where is the oil sent? Someone has to buy it. The answer, apparently, is: Israel.

Al-Araby published an extensive investigation which lays out in detail how oil is transported from ISIS-controlled wells to Israel via Turkey.

Hunt and fount , his name Anatoly Dugout from Chechnya

In his hometown of the executioner he is remembered only thanks to a rare surname, and not because of the merits. The 28-year-old executioner Anatoly Dugout, nicknamed little Jihadi-Tolik, finished the 3rd school in the city of Noyabrsk of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district.

However, former teachers remembered him with great difficulty, and that is because of his rare surname. It turned out that a future extremist-thug in school was a quiet person. He was not bully, on the contrary, the so called a gray was silent and demure. He studied poorly, his rating was, say, 2+ in the best case. It is known that the Dugout had joined terrorist organizations in Syria in 2013.

His victim brutaly executed
he is the 23-year-old Magomed Khasiyev and lived in the orphanage of Nadterechny district of the city of Grozny. In the orphanage he came from Chelyabinsk region after his mother was deprived of parental rights.

Unconfirmed Video by Terrorists Shows Use of Poison Gas against Syrian Army, People in Aleppo

TEHRAN (FNA)- The foreign-backed terrorists released a video showing them targeting certain locations and residential areas in Aleppo with poisonous gas capsules fired by mortar launchers.

The video by the US-backed Fath Halab (Aleppo Conquest) firing rockets equipped with a capsule containing poisonous gas at people’s houses and the destroyed buildings where the Syrian army is stationed.

No independent source has confirmed authenticity of the footage yet.

On Friday, the Syrian army and its allies won control over a strategic village near the recently-captured Kuweires military airbase in Aleppo province.

The Syrian Army’s elite special operations division known as the “Tiger Forces”, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters and Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions), gained full control over the village of Nasrallah after a violent heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists on the Northern outskirts of the Kuweires airbase.

The Syrian armed forces purged the entire area surrounding of the ICARDA Farms, an informed source said, adding that this paved the way for the pro-government forces to liberate the village of Nasrallah from the control of the ISIL terrorists on Friday evening.

After the capture of Nasrallah village, the Tiger Forces and their allies are now in a position to cross into the Al-Baab Plains, after a three-year absence from this front in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo, which is deeply entrenched with ISIL terrorists as their strongholds of Menbaj and Al-Baab are located in this region.

The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces and their allies are currently fighting ISIL at the strategic hilltop village of Tal Al-Ahmar, South of the Kuweires Military Airport; if captured, the airbase will be completely secure at its Southern perimeter.

In November, the Syrian army, popular forces and Hezbollah forces, backed up by Syrian and Russian air force, lifted the two and a half-year-long siege of Kuweires military airbase after killing hundreds of ISIL terrorists.

The 1,200-strong Bundeswehr task force’s deployment in Syria approved by the German parliament Friday might be reinforced by elite special forces, the KSK, according to local media.

To strengthen the task force, the Bundeswehr may send an additional unit of its elite Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK) to Syria “in case of emergency,” Bild reports, citing its source in Bundestag’s defense committee.

This was “made very clear” by German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen and Bundeswehr chief of staff Gen Volker Wieker during preliminary hearings at Bundestag’s defense committee on Wednesday, Bild claims, adding that it's unclear how many special troops could be sent to Syria.

The newspaper reports that possible missions for the KSK unit on the ground could be, among others, rescue operations to “liberate downed Tornado pilots.” It is yet unknown whether the Bundestag’s approval on Friday included such kind of missions.

Some in Germany claim the Syrian deployment would necessitate boosting the country's army, considering the Bundeswehr currently runs two additional operations on remote theatres.

Head of the Bonn-based Association of Bundeswehr Personnel Lt Col André Wüstner told Neue German media on Friday, German military would “need at least 5,000 or 10,000 soldiers more,” quoted as saying by Tagesschau. To Wüstner, the number of personnel available may become a pressing issue as from January 2016 “over 20,000 soldiers” will find themselves in “deployments across Afghanistan, which is prolonged, and also in Northern Iraq and Mali.”

Earlier on Friday, Germany's Bundestag has approved contribution to the military efforts against Islamic State in Syria. 445 out of 598 MPs voted for military action with 146 voting against. Seven members of Bundestag abstained.

Germany will deploy 6 Tornado reconnaissance jets, a frigate to back up the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle already present in Syrian waters, a refueling aircraft, and up to 1,200 troops to Syria, according to Reuters. Berlin says the mission will be of “support” nature only, as the German air detachment will not take any part in the airstrikes against Islamic State’s targets.

On Wednesday, Syrian President Bashar Assad told Czech television that the US-led aerial campaign is not hurting the Islamic State positions, while the Russian air operation is.

A teenage girl who ran away from her home in Austria to join Islamic State in Syria has been beaten to death after trying to escape from the group, according to Austrian media. The girl traveled to the war-torn nation with her friend last year.
Austrian tabloid Kronen Zeitung reported that Samra Kesinovic, 17, was beaten to death by members of the violent extremist group as she tried to flee the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) stronghold of Raqqa.

The newspaper cited an unnamed Tunisian woman who reportedly also traveled to join the jihadists last year and lived with Kesinovic and her friend Sabina Selimovic, then 15, in Raqqa. The Österreich tabloid reported the same story, citing insider sources.
However, Austria's interior and foreign ministries have yet to confirm the news.

"We cannot comment on individual cases," Foreign Ministry spokesman Thomas Schnöll told the Austria Press Agency. Interior Ministry spokesman Karl-Heinz Grundböck also said that he could not comment on the situation.

Unconfirmed reports of the girls' fate also circulated last year, with UN counter-terrorism expert David Scharia stating that one had been killed in fighting and the other had disappeared.

Kesinovic and Selimovic arrived in Syria via Turkey in April 2014, and quickly became “poster girls” for IS. Photos on social media sites showed them carrying Kalashnikovs and being surrounded by armed men. According to Austrian police, the images were aimed at recruiting young girls to join IS.
At the time of their disappearance, the two teenagers left a note for their families saying, "Don’t look for us. We will serve Allah and we will die for him." The girls are believed to have been married off to IS fighters soon after arriving in Raqqa. However, by October 2014, there were reports that both girls wanted to return home.

Austrian authorities have accused a Vienna-based Bosnian Muslim preacher, Mirsad Omerovic (also known as Abu Tejda or Ebu Tejma) of recruiting the girls, who were born in Austria to Bosnian Muslim parents. He has denied the allegations.

As many as 130 Austrians have fled to Syria to join IS, according to UN estimates. At least half are believed to be of Chechen origin.

US unwilling to acknowledge Turkey-ISIS oil trade ‘smacks of direct patronage’ – Russian top brass

Russia’s Defense Ministry has slammed Washington’s reaction to the outing of the secret oil trade between Turkey and Islamic State terrorists, calling it a “theatre of the absurd” and saying it looks rather like “direct patronage.”
“Finally, our colleagues from the State Department and the Pentagon have confirmed that the photo-proof, which we presented at a briefing [on December 2], of the origin and destination of the stolen oil, coming from the areas controlled by the terrorists, is authentic,” Major General Igor Konashenkov, a Defense Ministry spokesman, told a media briefing on Saturday.
“However, the US claim that they ‘don’t see the border crossings with tanker trucks crossing the border,’ raises a smile, if only, because the photos are still images,” he added.
