Why don't yall use the gas generator output as steering nozzels. Also won't it be difficult to get funding if you don't have an intermediate product to offer ?

Ya'll Nibbiars planning for a similar spacex recovery or something different?.
Very different, it is vertical landing for sure but we have different approach for it, that's why we differ only about 16% in our expendable and reusable configuration.

Ya'll Nibbiars even heard of a recovery idea from somewhere that they are planning to fly their engines and land like a conventional aircrafts.

You have nine engines clustered right, so now you have nine gg exhausts, keeping gg cycle exhaust as a sole steering is much more complex than gimbaling a engine. However some people do use gg exhaust for roll control at times

Gliding it back to ground will be much better than whole parachute catching thing.
Ya'll Nibbiars yeah but probably will take time this legacy firms can't abodend their checks and management and completely overhaul like the SpaceX.

Ya'll Nibbiars @Moonlander Nibba what you thoughts on the CNG powered LV?.

They are good performance wise and environmental friendliness is also there, but personally i don't find full cryo systems that much fascinating, they are requirement in some cases, like you can't operate FFSC with kerolox. But still like they bring many complexities with them and handling them is a whole different issue, rocket size goes up and many more. But surely they will be used in most future rockets.

Ya'll Nibbiars thanks for answering so many queries. It's 1 : 42 now. Will go to sleep now 😴.

Good bye hope you also come tomorrow when ever you get time.

Its good to have professional experts on the forum. We once had a legendary Para SF Member here but due to workload no longer active here. Hope you stay here as long as possible.

Have a good stay here.

No, i mean developing a full flow staged combustion cycle will be a little overambitious for now, as we don't have that ecosystem in India, for supporting advanced materials and i don't think FFSC is required for a small engine of 925kN.
what do you think about rather than making a full cycle engine you can make a battery powered turbopump.

using high energy density batteries can reduce somewhat weight.

I was expecting around 300 considering the rocket lab have isp of 311 at sl and they are also using batteries for operating turbopump.

@Moonlander ISRO will use ADMIRE test vehicle to prove Supersonic retro propulsion & vertical landing, SpaceX used Grasshopper to do the same.
1.How you guys are gonna prove VTVL tech, Are you also planning for a similar kind of tech demonstrater?
2. Isn't it good way to develop a Falcon1 like small LV with a single engine in 1st stage to prove the basic techs instead of directly going for medium LV with 9 engine?

so, closed cycle turbopump config will give more isp than using battery powered turbopump :notsure:
One of the main factors which decides ISP, is the Chamber pressure which inturn is dependent on Turbopump. Electric Turbopump generally cannot achieve the required chamber pressures to achieve a Sea level ISP of 300 sec...
