Ya'll Nibbiars Manastu make the rocket fuel right?.RP-1/ LOX it is
Oh didn't knew that till now thought they even make the fuel. No, Manastu makes satellite propulsion systems
Ya'll Nibbiars so you will source the fuel in house or from outside?.And they have developed a monopropellant, primarily for satellite propulsion called MS-289, where MS is Manastu space and 28/9 in DOB of Arindath sir ( faculty advisor and a amazing personality )
They are planning to launch 140 tonnes class vehicle by 2028, now you can understand why I say linear growth policies are hindrance for India. China here is competing head on with Starship.Ya'll Nibbiars The number of space launcher start ups has boomed in PRC there are atleats 18 funded ones and in India till now atleats 8 ones this sector has boomed in last 5 years.
Mostly outsourced, we can't afford to divert our focus for now.Ya'll Nibbiars so you will source the fuel in house or from outside?.
Ya'll Nibbiars they were had of us since ever they launched their Medium category launch vehicle as early as 1980s when we were still struggling with the ASLV. So it will take some time but we have definitely reduced the gap. The private sector has a solid base now and can reduced the time of development for a decade previsouly taken to few years. They are planning to launch 140 tonnes class vehicle by 2028, now you can understand why I say linear growth policies are hindrance for India. Ya'll Nibbiars accounrding to some graphics they will catch the parachute with help of a helicopter. They are outsourcing engines to Blue origin, and UCLA have a manufacturing facility capable of building 40 rockets per year. I think whole in house manufacturing is costing much less than what they are buying BE-4 engines for and probably that is the reason they thought to recover them. Other than this i don't think of any possible logic reason behind all this, but not sure how are they gonna achieve it, brings a different level of complexity to the system.
Ya'll Nibbiars so many chances of things going wrong here?.I am not concerned about the helicopter catching thing, that can be done quiet easily. Rocket lab's electron is recovered via same technique. I am more concerned about heat shield on top of engines and parachutes in that heat shield thing.
I think they catched one with helicopter too, i heard Peter Beck telling that story and how cost effective it is on some podcast, probably on everyday astronaut's channel while discussing about neutron rocket.Ya'll Nibbiars and the rockets labs simply drops the whole first stage in Ocean with help if parachute to slow down.

YupYa'll Nibbiars so you are planning nine engines in the first stags?.
Ya'll Nibbiars planning for a similar spacex recovery or something different?.
