Even in case of a troop withdrawal ANA cld have sustained .. Their air force was made unusable .. USA stopped supplying them with contractors .. only 60 out of 160 were operating and that too probably stopped after threat of pakistan air force . Pakistan kept supplying men and materials to Talban ... Dont think it was beyond power of USA to stop Pakistan . In Doha talk it was all preplanned by USA who is going to rule Afganistan .. Northern alliance people were kept at bay by influence of Pakistan from the beginning .. USA had pakistani advisers and dnt think for a moment whtev happened it was without agreement and cooperation of USA .

Well,

The question is .. What does India want..

1. Does it want influence in Afghanistan on the back of Northern alliance.. ?
This has worked for a good amount of time.But, this alienates the Pashtuns..

2. Does India want to destabilize and ultimately break up Pakistan.. more?
If India wants this, then there is no other way than betting on the Pashtuns, a majoriry of whom live on the Pakistani side of the Durand Line.. But, having more influence on the Pashtuns, than Pakistan is almost impossible.. And since Gilgit is not with India, we also do not share a border with Pashtuns, which makes influencing Pashtuns to the detriment of Pakistan, so much more difficult..

India wants what Pakistan wants, a stable Afghanistan with an establishment that is inclined towards it.

Taliban didn't allow a full evac of foreigners for this reason. It prevents anyone from supporting the resistance.

Now we understand that Taliban overthrew the government of Afghanistan with the propaganda. Their cold war is strong. Today they announced that they captured Panjshir, the leaders of NRF fled but after few minutes Amrullah Saleh spoke to media and fall of Panjshir was also wrong.
