Close to 1 Lakh people live in Panjshir, they grow their own crops and self sustain themselves for months. Tajiks can air supply then the essentials if needed. Winter provides them the opportunity if they are short of supplies.

It will only give such people more legitimacy, and then the never-ending cycle of a narrative-counternarrative in which Islamists and Pagan-haters will side up with the "Liberals" to single out the Indian Govt.
