Su-57 already have an internal fuel capacity of 10,000 kg. This gives it a range of 3500 km. With fuel tanks Su-57 can fly for more than 5000 km. Very very impressive
Su30 itself has more than 9000 kg internal fuel and much less powerful engines than su57. Su30 matched that range and more.

There is talk of wetpoints and drop tanks for su30mki in upgrade to exceed range even further.

"Super Dry" will take off in two years. Testing of the first upgraded fifth-generation fighter will begin in the summer of 2022. Officially, the product is called the "Su-57 of the second stage." But among the military and aircraft builders, the machine was nicknamed "Super-Dry." In addition to the completely new engine, the aircraft will be equipped with a package of modern avionics and on-board systems. It is planned to complete the development work at the end of 2024, which will allow to proceed to the production of an improved modification of the fighter. The gradual introduction of improvements in the design of such sophisticated weapons as modern warplanes has become a common practice in Russia and abroad, experts say. "

Earlier, representatives of the United Engine Building Corporation (JDC) stated that the new engine has "breakthrough characteristics" and will make the Su-57 an even more advanced project. Among its advantages is called increased traction: it will allow to develop supersonic speed without the inclusion of a booster. Also, the engine will have the best performance, including an increased resource. The plasma ignition system will improve fuel combustion.

As part of the design work, about two dozen prototypes of "product 30" for ground and air testing were made. Earlier this year it became known that they are already being tested in a flying laboratory. The first photos of the Su-57 taking off with one manufactured experimental engine appeared in March this year. The characteristic jagged shape of the nozzle with a controlled thrust vector should reduce the radar visibility of the fighter.

As Izvestia previously wrote, one of the components of the Su-57 modernization will be the replacement of hydraulic drives of control surfaces with electric motors. This should reduce its visibility for radars, increase maneuverability and increase survivability in the event of damage. "

Project Megapolis also includes an upgrade on avionics when it was already listed back in 2019 to have already gone from 5 to 6 radar systems. And than there is the timeframe expectancy of 2023-2025 with a possibility of photonic integrated circuit production stated by RTI. So I can only hope for such circuit production to start early with the fastest integration possible to the next su-57 in testing. This would be the next biggest hard-on since the announcement of a internal hypersonic air to ground missiles for the aircraft if that does come true.

I hope item 30 will be available in export variant.

We don't know what the hidden benefits from MMRCA 2.0. I m very much interested in acquiring feq Squadrons of Su 57 and replacing MKIs with Su 57 Avionics. As part of the same deal, if Russians ready to gave ToT and fixing maintenance issues .

https://qr.ae/pNK9B4 When they announced a 2nd version of the Su-57 with new engines, new avionics and new weapons. I have felt the dire need to put an overall history comparison for the F-35 and both versions of the Su-57 along with what is expected for either aircraft in the future and I am feeling so exhausted right now because of it.

Su-57 controlled a group of Su-35S fighter.

Russia conducted an experiment on the use of a "flock" of Su-35 fighters controlled by a fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft. This was reported by TASS.

"The experiment was carried out in real combat conditions, a group of Su-35 fighters was involved in the" flock ", the role of the command and staff aircraft was performed by the Su-57," said one of the agency’s interlocutors.

Another defense source confirmed to TASS the nature of the tests and explained that in the battle order, which the pilots call a flock or swarm, information is exchanged between fighters in real time: the information-control system of each aircraft automatically processes data from both its own sensors and sensors of other boards.

Sources explained that the use of a "flock" operating in a single information space, significantly increases the efficiency of combat missions. The interlocutors did not name the date and place of the experiment.

As the leading Russian military expert, chief editor of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Viktor Murakhovsky noted, such tests are important from the point of view of building a unified information system for the armed forces. “Work on interaction in a general battle order is important. In the future, information from all aircraft sensors, as well as from air defense systems, from satellites, from ground-based equipment should come into a single system that will create a single information field for land, air and space. And in it, with the support of artificial intelligence, the distribution of combat work, including for aviation, will already take place, "the expert explained.

He added that similar work is being carried out by the United States of America, in particular for its F-35 fighters. At the same time, Murakhovsky said, so far neither Russia nor the United States have been able to build such a single information system for managing all types of troops due to difficulties in creating a single data format for different types and branches of the armed forces.
