Arsenal AR-M1F41 Arsenal M6 UBGL Trijicon ACOG 3×24 Sight
I always feel T shirts half or full are good for operation comfortable too in our environment.
However in the future you guys will be getting the best of both worlds! The mass Intervention of AK happened during mid-late 90s even before the arrival of INSAS firearms in mass, where 9mm was found a lesser range and lack punch compare to what Terrorist were using, Back then most units had SLR which was ill suited for the need, Hence we imported various AKs from various origins and latter OFB produced copies of AKs without permission of Russians / east block, Due to the sanctification with AKs in preform-ace and quantity, their were never really need for INSAS carbine back in days.
Surprisingly the AR 15 is remarkably well placed in this category. Eugene Stoner was a genius!Carbine, Rifle, DMR, LMG, based on single platform with lesser modification is most welcome.
Do you think these Are in Field Operation Now because I never seen them used in Any Operation by the Indian Army in J&K Region or North East Region. This Looks like a License Produced FN MAG. Which is Good Squad And General Purpose Machine Gun used by Many Countries Around the World. Pakistan uses MG-3 Which is an Excellent Machine Gun Along With G3 Which is An Excellent Assault Rifle India Needs a Belt Fed Machine Gun and Assault Rifles that can Compete with our Enemies.Work in progress, by OFB
This video is 2 years old, which means final version should have been ready by now, yet no news on it yet.

I understand what you are try to get at. We can use the Magazine Fed LMGs as like a Full on Automatic Role providing Fire Support and Belt Fed Machine Guns as Static Defenses and on top of Vehicles.
The Guns Must have Frozen Up by the Cold but Still MG3 is still considered one of the best Machine Guns in the World by Many People.MG-3 is a nightmare for PA, Experienced at Kargil, but that is another story ..

MX4 has / had lot of problems during operational use with bsf but since it is foreign weapon no media raked it up nor did the armed forces cry over it for long. The matter was swept under the carpet.Agreed............
In place of Sterling, systems like MX4 has been brought in. But you have to keep in mind that Sterling, MX4 and Browning handgun share the same 9x19 parabellum round.
So technically you have a single round for all the three weapon systems. But the moment you bring in JVPC, you would have to adapt a new round. Now sterling or MX4 would get replaced, but what about the Browning? We can't replace it as a side arm.
That means the troops would have to adapt one more extra ammo along with the existing ammo. So it would put pressure in terms of logistics and overall operational cost.
True we even deducted the money from the amount to be paid as It had around 5% rate of defective ones during testing and high rate of failure when inducted.MX4 has / had lot of problems during operational use with bsf but since it is foreign weapon no media raked it up nor did the armed forces cry over it for long. Absolutely right either a 5.56 carbine or AK derivative will do the job. Considering those trying to infiltrate will be likely to have AKs as well and may be bullet proof jackets. There is no point in keeping our forces in any sort of disadvantage in that situation.MX4 makes no sense with regard to our SMG requirements. The buttstock is solid plastic which hampers movement when trying to reload. A simple foldable stock would have done the job.
Looks some kind of bullpup design, eerily similar to insas but with a bullpupAny idea on this?
