Consider the case where I have a gun without the magazine, and I have two magazine's which one should I use?
There will be written instruction on Rifle.

And once can make out the barrel size etc..

How will people differentiate with two rifles of a similar design, when they look alike. For eg

Tell me how u ll differentiate the 5.56 Ak with the 7.62 ?
The magazine..
kunal sir is right, let me explain it in more simple terms

5.56 mm x 45 NATO cartridge (above) and 7.62 mm x 51 NATO

you can look at the bullets, 7.62 is bigger.

so it need bigger magazine.

You are both right and wrong. The bigger magazine is 7.62X39 mm. If we didn't have a magazine cliped on, it would be hard to differentiate I guess

Bigger because of larger bullet diameter and more curved because it is rimmed?

Bigger size occupy more space, if the magazine is not curved but straight it will be longer and may prove problematic while in Prone firing positions and others..

what will be the cost of such a kit ?Are the indian soldiers allowed to make such modifications using their own money?
They are expensive, I remember seeing a video where an IA soldier uses holographic sights on his AK, Kunal said he must have paid for it from his own pocket.

Modification at that scale is not allowed by the men, The kit can be manufacture by as compulsory kit for all AKMs in service, But the scope and attachment can be of the user personally, For that One have to get the permission from MOD and other high ranks..

IA dont allow any kind of modification to Rifle, If done so it can be removed without any permanent mark or sign to the original rifle..
And yes its expensive but affordable..
