The soldier on left is indeed Indian with (most probably) Scorpio TGT.
The French soldier has an Fr-F1.

i have my reasons to not believe that is an Indian guy with even newly inducted TGT rifles,
<a> the pic shows left guy holding a rifle with
- relatively thinner barrel profile
- similar profile tiny flash hider
- railed handguard section ends with flat profile

...and this is HK417 here used as DMR in french service

now, <b> those .338 lapua magnum chambered Beretta rifles that we bought,
- has quite thicker barrel profile,
- has giant muzzle brake to compensate recoil etc,
- handguards have this chisel shape front, also handguards are also wider
- rifle themselves are longer-bigger enough

so yeah, i don't think both guys are indian,
this meme originated from this tweet i guess, where french ambasaddor posted a tweet on 2019 Shakti exercise etc etc

need more convincing proof, until then it'll be 'godzilla' for me

Honestly i like the idea, if they could maintain QC and so it may work well enough, who knows...

BTW Iranians already manufacture AR there, licensed manufactured version of choyneez Norinco CQ that in turn is copy of original M16 itself
