Since when did OFB make an OSV 96 copy?

Two possibilities:
1. They indeed made a OSV-96 copy. Going by their capabilities they can very well acheive that, given how quickly Bulgarian AR-M5s were copied in TAR, and previously Denel NTW-20 was copied into Vidhwanshak.
Also notice last Defence Expo showcased Vidhwanshak in just 14.5 and 20 mm calibers, but 12.7 mm caliber was missing. If you recall IA had a requirement for 1000+ 12.7mm AMR but wanted the weight to be less than 15 kg, thereby rejecting Vidhwanshak offer from OFB.
If OFB was smart they would definately try to clone any 12.7 mm AMR rifle they can get their hands on. Only two are in adequate quantities with the service: Barett M-82 and OSV-96.

2. Second possibility is that this picture is just a representative picture on the website by the media wing of OFB. Kind of like many times Arjun looks like an M1A2 Abrams.

IMO 12.7x108mm AMR is not a good idea, considering we already operate 12.7x99 mm AMRs at the LOC, better we keep the infantry away from the 12.7x108 round and limit it to the armour corps. IK the army too operate NSV in small numbers at bunkers in the LOC but from what I’ve heard it’s very limited to a few sectors.

These ofb guys are making a circus of everything. whenever army is looking for carbine a replacement or ak replacement they keep on showing these kind of craps, at the end the state Police may not even buy their produce. Better they should be pension off. Even they might be helping the cause of the gun dalals.

Dont think OFB is the designers .Its the job of ARDE and Drdo guys to design the stuff.
@Johny_Baba whats the reason a stamped Insas is bulkier than a milled Ak. Internals of both are almost same. What all componenets bulk up the insas?

Every factory is independent, this is why OFB has a whole has TAR as well as GHATAK.
