Hmm so the best ak for accuracy and combat performance is galil ace worst is bulgarian slr104 even russian izhmash ak203 performs worse than vintage czech vz58 and east european (romanian,bulgarian)aks performs worse than chinese aks.Czech arms are the best even their vintage design performs better than the latest edition of aks and 5.45 has better accuracy for longer range than 7.62×39.So indian army use vz58 then why not clone that instead of new ak203 which cost us $1000

There are pros because a short-stroke piston is inherently more accurate, but the big problem with VZ-58 is that they can't take usual AK magazines.
Makes sense to use the new Galil ACE 2, but I do see the AK-203 deal fall off.
With all the fiasco of OFB, Army will tend to avoid any contact with them

Vz 58 is out of production. It was heavily used by Para sf during 80s and until late 90s.

I am not Ian Mccullum nor even @Johny_Baba or @Gessler, but can say for sure that it is absolute crap in terms of finish. No other Ak not even Darra made ones have such rusty finish. The receiver reminds of the one on Insas thanks to numerous rivets. Don't think the barrel is chromelined. Can't even compare it with the milled receiever Bulgarian ones except in terms of weight which is negligible . Same with the Romanian ones too.

What I don't like about ak clones such as trichy n ghatak is all about the barrel n muzzle brake or flash hider because they just copy the romanian one, the slice one. They could have chosen the roost one.

Though the finish of TAR still falls short of the Bulgarian counterparts, but TAR is definately much better than Ghatak, in terms of finishing.
