Good to hear that age old guns (180mm S-23) are being employed on the LOC. Earlier IA had moved the retired T-55 tanks to the border posts.

Makes sense to wear out these guns - eke out the last bit of usefulness from these....and save the latest weaponry for an all out war!

Another reason I can think of for moving S-23's to LOC to bust the Paki bunkers. S-23's 180mm shell weighs 110kgs and can travel 45kms!!
Pakis normally launch attacks and then hide in their fortified bunkers that protect them from India's mortars and 130mm shells!
